Are you sure you aren't thinking about all of the "Honda HSV" concept cars that have no relation to Australia's HSV?

Craig Lowndes received his very own 'Craig Lowndes Edition' VF Commodore today, what a machine.

    Dad *owned*
Some stupid Bogan blond bitch ran up our ass, typical P-plater texting on the phone. She then said "It's a Holden it deserved destruction" Felt like pulling the tire iron out of the already opened boot and breaking her skull into 7 different pieces

That sounds like something that absolutely never happened.

Sounds like something Veyron, Dennis-W or yourself would say.

Good for you. But something as badly worded as "It's a Holden it deserved destruction", and the car knowledge from someone ignorant enough to be texting and driving, sound extremely unlikely and sounds entirely like something to get the fans in this thread riled up.

Valid point, but if that said ignorant bitch was a die hard Ford fan or just plain hated Holdens then it would be a believable statement.

Car culture in Australia (Gen X and earlier, limited Gen Y, Z) boils down to Holden vs. Ford regardless of knowledge or interest in cars[SUP][citation needed][/SUP]. The V8 Supercars are highly publicised and is a catalyst that has helped maintain the decades-long healthy rivalry between Holden and Ford[SUP][citation needed][/SUP]. To any Australian, that statement would be quite believable, and I've heard it myself more than a few times[SUP][citation needed][baseless claim][/SUP].

To further add to this I would say approximately 95%(maybe high) of Aussies know what the Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore are no matter the generation(of car and people) just because of the culture in Australia no matter if you are a car fan or not, it is just the Aussie way.

Also glad to hear no one was seriously injured a car is just a car although they do sometimes feel like part of the family they can be replaced.

I could say 95% of people here or in the UK in general know what a Vauxhall and Ford is. Yet I still can't imagine someone getting out of a car and saying that after an accident.

The UK doesn't have millions of Commodores and Falcons on the road, and a population influenced from a young age to passionately love or hate one manufacturer over the other. It's unlikely and totally crass for someone to say something like that, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually said.

Nobody in the UK would say "G'day mate", that doesn't mean it wouldn't happen here.

Yes, I myself have come out of a car accident telling the other guy that his car deserved it... especially when it's my fault.

I can't even be sardonic about this. Unless you're autistic or something there's genuinely no way you can be socially unaware enough to make that kind of comment... or even care about something so petty after an accident major enough to write off a relatively new car.

I know of a lot of people who go around and say that this falcon deserved it or that commodore is better off the road, etc but in all seriousness guys this is something an Aussie would after a crash especially if they have seen everybody is ok(or at least up and about) in the other car. This would be a common occurrence in Australia although I would never say such a thing directly after the crash(maybe at a later time:p) it does happen and will continue to happen. It is just the Aussie way our sense of humour down here is strange at times but it is what it is and unless you are Aussie or have live here a few years you will most likely never understand. Our culture is seemingly like others from the outside but once here you'll understand there is nothing else like Australia.
