Re: General discussion chat did I read all this right Guy's friend dies, and someone comments with the usual "we're all here for ya man". Someone makes a dick move and says "you've no right to speak on my behalf like that" and suddenly you're calling eachother faggots? I am so disappointed at this. I know this is the wrong place to look for sympathy, it's a car forum full of complete strangers. Problem is that the dick move and the namecalling isn't in the spirit of paying respect. That provocative statement by dalek should be ignored, calling him a faggot is just getting needlessly personal. Do I feel much for JDM clark? I don't really know him... so not really. Has my respects just not my sympathy. It should still be possible to show a modicum of decency or simply not comment. Death of a friend is a sensitive issue and the only excuse I can find for Dalek is he's looking for drama. You gave it to him. (edited for better flow)
Re: General discussion chat Quite to the contrary, he's simply exercising his own. Back to the original topic, though. 'We're all here for you' is an exaggeration. There are those that don't really know JDMClark, and it'd be wildly optimistic to expect the entire forum to relate to and support him in his current situation. But don't take the broad statement that, 'We're all here for you,' as a conscription of your time and effort. No one is drafting you into saying, doing, or feeling anything, and you can freely do nothing. What truly boggles my mind, however, is that instead of resisting the above statement by exercising your implied rights to do nothing, you instead made a harshly blunt statement that you certainly knew would come back at you, resulting in even more work spent fighting your new detractors than would be spent wishing JDM the best. Or, of course, than doing nothing. Thus, I can only think of two reasons why you'd do this. Either you wished to spite JDM, or you simply enjoy sparking arguments and watching them play out. And I feel it's worth mentioning that, no, there is no superlative freedom of speech here. This is not a nation, this is a private forum, the moderators of which are judge, jury, and-in a hyperbolic sense-executioner on any given issue they choose to intervene in.
Re: General discussion chat It had nothing to do with dalek refusing to pay his respects. I just chose that post to quote when I expressed my discontent towards everything about him. I deleted my posts because, like you said, it isn't in the spirit of paying respect. - - - Updated - - - I've actually met clark in real life, so I kinda \know/ him, and I feel that it's appropriate to do my best, which is rather feeble, at consoling him.

Re: General discussion chat This is a strange weather. Very rain cloudy but from a clear gap in the clouds the sun was shining straight here. I only saw that as a bug in a video game, and this instantly made tme think of it.
Re: General discussion chat That moment you go to the optometrist and can't read the bottom line of letters. I was freaking out for 20 minutes. The doctor said that there was no point in giving me a light prescription. I thought my eyes were fine. Apparently, if I keep going the way I am going (Video games, iPhone, staring at the sun), I will be wearing glasses by the beginning of 2016. My next optometrist appointment is in a year, so another year of relief for me.
Re: General discussion chat Ah I can read the smallest letters my optician actually has available. Better than 20/20 vision technically although he lacks equipment to nail down an exact value. Squinting at the phone because its at the wrong distance from your face won't do any good, neither will staring at the sun. But in general, screens are disproven to do any harm provided they are located the correct distance and position from you.

Re: General discussion chat Well gas prizes seem to be like 20-35 cents cheaper these days, at least here in Germany...I've even seen petrol for 1.30€ per litre from the 1.50€ and sometimes 1.65€ per litre prices....Does anyone know the reason for this? It's pretty damn awesome though
Re: General discussion chat ISIL is selling oil they stole for like tenth the price of the ones SAE is selling. Is doing stuff with the comodity market. Sadly in czech rep the goverment is a ton of assholes and instead of letting the price go noticeably down, they put gas taxes up, so the prices remain the same and they get more $$$
