It is all real. 1 guy has planted 3 bombs and is threatening to blow them up unless his demands are met.

One guy that didn't even have the brains to take the right flag with him. I'm certain the bombs are empty threats to try and get his demands.

Don't share or view any of the media to do with the situation, the guy wants attention and taking it from him will make his "cause" pointless.

Flag could well be a deliberate way of distracting police attention.

I was hoping for it to be over with no casualties except for the ISIL member(s). Very sorry for the people who lost their lives.

No word if the ISIL member was even involved in those deaths.

On that note, UK troops are returning to Iraq in response to ISIS threat.

I despise ISIS, all they do besides being complete murderous cunts is give support to far right "political" parties across the western world who in turn want to persecute Islam. I also hate those far right groups.

I know this seems a bit far fetched... but do any of you see how much better the world would be without religion? You wouldn't have things like Al Qaeda and ISIS. You won't have these sieges.

It's human nature to fight. Getting rid of religion won't help. People will just find something else to get pissy abouy.

Religion literally stopped scientific progress for over 500 years. I don't mind people believing in something they read from a book as long as they don't try to convince anyone else that it's the truth.

I wish they wouldn't do that bullshit.
At this point I just want a definitive scientific answer telling me whether christianity is bullshit or not.
I want to know if I'm wasting my time or not.

Well, unless he filled himself with helium or something I don't see jesus walking on water at all. It's simple physics.
So that part is bullshit at least.

We had an indepth discussion in religion at work once.

The 3 of us concluded that religion stands as the beacon of human hope. The belief in a perfect afterlife, its hope for happiness.

Should be noted that the 3 of us were atheists, but the christian waiter that popped in and out of the conversation didn't particularly object to the conclusion either. But we like him, we get his perspective and he gets ours rather than trying to convert him.

Thats the way it should be perhaps. Belief in your own religion for your own happiness. No more, no less.

lets not forget that the christians first attacked because they felt like controlling the world, and until then islam was only allowed to spread through word, not sword.
But they all got killed and defeated by the arabs, and just for fun a line was added to the islam holy book, that the religion should be spread with sword.
    Its all our fault.

That's the problem, religion should not be spread at all. "Religion is like a penis, it's perfectly fine to have one and be proud of it, but if you whip it out in public and wave it on my face then we have a problem"

Last night I had to pop into youth for an hour because it was mandatory for a trip I'm going on, and we had this little group discussion.
It was mainly about preaching the word. They kept talking about "missed opportunities" and how you must preach to be a good christian and shit.
I believe I was one of the maybe 2 people there that honestly doesn't give a fuck what religion you are.
Like I honestly don't care. I couldn't give less fucks. I don't understand why people do care.
And I'm not gonna preach a religion that I'm seriously questioning anyway.
But yeah I agree with you.
