Sorry for not messaging for a while, I've been busy with irl stuff. I'm starting work on version 2, i'll try to fix as much as I can of the issues that have been mentioned here. Issues (Updated): All i mentioned in my first post Steering wheels need fixing (Thanks TMccanna) Police console dashboard hasn't been updated Forgot to change the models when updating the oldstyle steering wheels so they're just copies of the default wheel RPM gauge is reversed (Thanks TMccanna and hoodbaxter) No textures for haybales (Thanks hoodbaxter) For the haybales, i won't actually fix the textures, but i'll replace them with the newer ones already in the game Not sure if I will update the logs, as the vanilla log load for the long bed is much better than what i could do. May also change the log config to use the new logs. No textures for semi hitch (could've sworn i got the textures to appear if the legacy versions were installed when i was working on v1, but it doesn't seem to work now) I think i'll try to remake the semi upfit with some more options and the new semi hitch so it'll work with post-0.31 trailers side note: to do this i think the best way to do it would be to make the hitch use the short frame t-series hitch slot, so it can be used with modded hitches Forgot to update the heavy-duty hood. Me and someone on Reddit have noticed that the "Station Wagon Frame (mod)" isn't working correctly. I'm currently checking everything on my end, but no avail. Engine runs, but the tacho disappears and I can't drive it. Tried all the different engines, transmissions, diffs, and driveshafts. My cache cleared and game files verified.
Thanks for the report, working on it. Update 2 is going well, a lot of issues have been fixed, however I might postpone the semi upfit remake to update 3 as it will take a while. The rest of update 2 should be available by the end of the week if all goes well.
D-Series Add-on Unofficial Fix: Version 2 Changelog: Updated many outdated parts: HD Hood Some other oldstyle parts Oldstyle steering wheels (Properly this time) Police dashboard* Station Wagon Frame (lol) gauges on oldstyle dashboard** Semi Upfit: Now works with 0.31+ trailers Now can be used with all other D-series rear bumpers*** Version 3 is planned to remove the original tractor rear bumpers, as it is just the vanilla bumpers with added taillights, so these lights will just become a separate part. Hitch now looks good, with an actual material this time. Wheel covers can be removed, for larger wheels or 6x6 from other mods NOTE: Although the hitch now works, it works more like the vanilla tow hitch than the 0.31+ fifth wheel, as it would require a big jbeam overhaul so isn't really worth doing now as it will be part of Version 3 Loads: Haybales now use the "new" vanilla haybale model, old model has been removed The config with the logs now uses the vanilla 3-log load from 0.32, old logs are still available for compatability, but won't be updated. Issues: *The manual gearshift on the police dashboard doesn't work, but neither does the vanilla one on the roamer so idk ** The amps and oil temps don't seem to work, although they are pretty much 1:1 with the barstow gauges which the OS gauges are based on. ***The painted and black bumpers don't have working lights due to material weirdness, but this will be fixed in v3 as mentioned above. Everything else not mentioned here from my previous posts is still being worked on for version 3 and beyond. Future Plans?: Semi upfit remaster - will be all new, and will be released with this mod and separately on the repository. All parts will be included with this mod, so you wouldn't need both. Other part remasters - Station wagon probably needs it the most, maybe something for update 4 PBR - I think full PBR shouldn't be impossible, many materials in this mod are edited vanilla materials so it shouldn't be too hard to remake them. Are you on the new version or the old version? Both wheels work as intended on my end. I'll update both download links with a .zip I know works.
Thank you I was looking for an updated version of this mod! Just a minor suggestion, is it possible to remove the high third brake light from the back of the cab and just make it smooth? Pickups didn’t have third brake lights yet in the 70s and 80s
im sad mine's been broken for awhile.... for some reason it worked like the first day i downloaded it, but it seems like it broke the next day or so cant get the wagon to drive anymore and the doors dont wanna stay shut nor do they wanna open
thanks a lot for bringing back this amazing mod dude, however i found a no texture in the classic prerunner ( oldstyle )config. apart from that everything works perfect for me
i reccomend just using the new ceep update it doesnt do as much as this did but what it does do is much more of an up to date standard and the mod is continuing development
