There is something I've noticed in BeamNG over the years. I remember when 0.16 came out, the new sounds were great, the bass was very well distributed. But now... The bass are still present, but strangely less than before. I rewatched some 0.16 videos and noticed that some car sounds were much more immersive than today. The D-Series, the Sunburst and the SBR4 had other sounds that were better, while today we returned to something more classic. See with the attached video, what do you think?
Option for Intake blend file and also in the audio debug. Even better have the ability to choose how many blend files you like as infinite number... This would be great. It would give the sounds much more depth since sometimes the intake/engine volume is not even but the current setup forces it when you have 3 different recordings for exh, eng and int. Would be nice but i get it is again work to implement.
There is an issue with custom indicator sounds. I know this is more of a modding problem, but my custom sounds used to work fine.
I need to correct myself. It always was this way, when typing the file's directory path directly in. However, when I created a custom dataBlock, it is fine.
The system is currently misinterpreting understeer as a small wheel lock when you release the throttle. I think this is the same thing.
Something i dont personally care about but noticed: horns do not seem to have sound cabinfilter applied to them when in interior view. Also: shouldnt supercharger whine have a less steep volume ramp? Should be louder on low boost?
Horns are definitely filtered by the cabin filter. Will of course depend on the amount of cabin filter the vehicle used. I just checked with the default Sunburst and the Vivace. Seems like the horn emitter is in the wrong place on the Vivace (and a few others). Superchargers - have you got any reference material you can share which shows what you think is incorrect?
one thing i feel missing from most NA race/itb settups is the sound that happens when you Press the throtlle, it makes them sound very underwhealming some good examples of the best sounding itbs ive found : the mx5 one must be my most watched video cuz i have played it like 15 times --- Post updated --- something like this could be a way to simulate that (i just made up those 2 variables)
It's that same video i showed long time ago i think shows it but this is the twin screw supercharger on the hellcat charger. The idle RPM for a Dodge Charger Hellcat typically ranges from 650 to 750 RPM. Side note: is there lower volume on whine on off throttle vs on throttle in beamng?
