Okay this might be a stupid question but I'm wondering, don't mean for this to sound demanding or anything, more curious than anything else. You say 0.33 is a lot of background technical work that's laying foundation for the future. But I was under the impression that the "art" team and the "tech" team are mostly separate or at least most people focus on specific things, so while tech team works out new tech, art team that mostly models and jbeams, can make more content during that time. Is that not so? Or do you not keep one-stack devs in your team (so everyone can do tech things to some capacity) and it's all hands on deck at the moment?

While we from outside of the programming team can't help with the tech changes, we have also been busy with other tasks. For example, the things we have showcased on ADAS expo needed quite a bit of art and Jbeam work on top of the programming. Me and some others have also worked a lot on the documentation this time (on pages that are not public yet). Some of us have been working in advance on projects planned for later updates in order to make sure they will get finished on time. And there has also been the usual fixes, improvements and optimizations to existing content which most people probably don't notice but the ones who do are thankful for them.

I mean, the only car that really needs texture work that I know of is the Ibishu Hopper because the interior is way too dark.

I'm happy to see you guys taking your time, im excited for what this backend stuff will allow in the future. Here's my questions for the QnA:
1: The merch shop is facing issues? What kind of issues?

2: What is it like working on the same game for so long? Do you ever get burnt out?

3: Will we ever get a new over the horizon blog? Or at least some more behind the scenes development blogs? I love reading about the stuff going on in the background.

    Since Tom did say "Anything"...

How do you like your coffee? Are you a fan of iced coffee? Can you recommend a good mug? My mother is up there in age and not in great health and she dropped her favorite mug last week so I've been looking around for a new one for her.

i agree on that, but when you look at the textures of MK1 Pessima, they are kinda old, the lettering for example, when you enlarge it, you can count the pixels, same for the body panel edges, meanwhile on the newer MK2, you can scale the lettering as much as you want and no pixels, same on the body panels, but the ETK I-Series needs revamp desperatelly

Gotta take care of that technical debt, especially for a long-running project like this. I'm sure any work you do gets the game closer to the 1.0 version, even if it's hard to sell.
Sure I'm looking forward to the long boring changelog that'll come

Now that I think about it, I think a longer update time period is far better - I don't like it when they rush things, and it's happened too many times with most AAA games, so.

yeah, rushing things just leads to disappointment and unfinished content.

    The hard things hmmm
    - Async loading of vehicles?
    - The complete VueJS implementation and with that the deprecation of AngularJS?
    - All the Tire physics?
    - Setting vehicles seemlessly into a defined state, as in damage and movement sync over sessions?
    - Multiplayer?
    - All the neat Sounds?

Well if there’s not gonna be anything added to the game then there is no point in updating.
    --- Post updated ---
Nah we need remasters of some vehicles, including the special, piccolina, Barstow, etc.

they're not procrastinating, beamng devs are not modders like me (or lichi) or others, where they can procrastinate, beam devs actually have a JOB, and a DEADLINE to finish their work.

jesus fucking christ you get FREE updates on, what normally is a £21 quid game, and you're whining about there being no cars, be lucky the devs straight up didn't abandon their game after the next game comes out, like how EA does with the NFS franchise
