Hey, sorry for the bump. I really like testing ships on this map and when I tested mine on a different map, I was surpised that the ship didnt work... Then I checked the water properties and noticed that the density of your ocean is 2.5 times too high (should be 1000). Could you fix this?
Hello. I think there is no need to apologize if you have an suggestion/issue/bug report. I know that official maps use value of 1000, but it was intended to be higher. I did it to achieve more realistic-looking effect of sinking cars. (So they sink slower and crash harder into the water surface.) However, this may cause issues with ships and tires. I will think about reverting it back to the default value for the sake of compatibility with ship mods. Please keep in mind that I'm not keen on pushing small updates (unless there is really nasty bug and I have to fix it). I prefer to create bigger update with more stuff and test it for some time to be sure, that there are no bugs. So if I decide to revert that value back to 1000, I will do it but in the next update with new content.
I'm still wishing for update & implementation of the planned features… ps. are you still working on this map or is this abandoned project? anyway still one of the best mod maps!
i dont know if this thread is dead if it is i will delete this comment as soon as posable maybe also to replaying the the coment above works fine for me
The author wasn't online since a while. I loved this map in the past, but please let this thread dying now.
I know i am bumping an old forgotten thread but this map was working fine until the new 0.33 update and it is my favorite map. Now the entrances of tunnels are blocked by terrain for some reason. It also gave me no material terrain and no texture pothholes but i could fix those with World Editor. I just can't fix the tunnel entrances. If somebody knows how to do it i would appreciate it a lot, if not just go over it, there's no need to destroy me for trying to save old mods.
I wouldn't want to bother other modders directly into asking for a specific mod. I thought it would have been more appropriate to gain attention by bumping the thread so that if someone sees it and it's interested maybe we could have a fix. Lots of mods got left behind and got fixed with time, i think bumping the thread to gain attention is the right way to do it instead of directly messaging others. Of course if the bump is something like "when is the update" when the mod still works fine it's useless and annoying. "Just let this thread die" would mean that everyone hates this mod or that it's impossible to fix. If nobody is willing to fix it then the thread would just die naturally.
Oh, weird, i deleted the CliffRoads temp folder and installed the map fresh from the site various times and also took out all other mods. I never had problems in previous game versions, i’ll try again then to make it work. If the problem is only on my end then there will be a way to fix it. Thanks for the info
Slapchopp is right: i had to delete the "CliffRoads" folder inside the "Levels" folder. Now it works fine. Probably it got messed up when i tried to fix no material road decals. Technically i bumped it for no reason then. But still potholes have no texture. I hope i'll manage to fix them without screwing up the whole map.
To die later again and being bumped again for no reason because they have issues with the terrain when everyone else don't have any issues. So let it die.
