Yh I was thinking that lore wise these could be licensed built designs made by a foreign (maybe euro?) company. There are a few fictional euro engines made by 3 different companies included in the pack already so it would make sense.
Yh its true, it makes more sense. I’ve got the lore for the engines down, should I try and make different badges for the truck? Idk what company name I should pick either
Well as for new company name If you wanted it to make it a Canadian company you could draw inspiration from the likes of Pacific or Butler with a name like 'Atlantic Truck and Trailer Ltd' or 'Footman Brothers Trucking'.
Yh Atlantic is a good idea. Im gonna add off-road suspension too to give it a proper lift. Even if I call it Atlantic it will remain as part of the T series though, not a stand-alone vehicle. TBH this mod is kinda starting to become a remastered B series, if you remember the old mod based of a KW C500
Even Kaynes would be a good name in reference to Hayes trucks. As this mod doesn't only add heavy duty off road parts I was thinking the fictional company could produce both t series based on-highway trucks and heavy duty off-road trucks. That way I can fit the inverted cabs and all the heavy duty parts such as wheels and tires in one company. In the lore would make sense for the truck to have been sold all over with local powerplant options depending on where (hence the fictional euro-ish engines). The traditional powerplant option would be a Belasco diesel series of engines predating the 900 cui and loosely based of Detroit diesels.
Now that you've mentioned it.. I'll just put this out there, you're capable and this would've been great competitor or partner with the B-Series And yes, either add this before release or add this after release to prevent further delays.. but yeah a Western Star 6900XD really does resemble your gigapack. Edit: This will also be a perfect pair with the Gavril T-Series Parts Add-on by GavrilMan and the other T-Series addon mods out there, with this suggestion or without, its lovely.
Yh I was realising the same thing, the more I move on, the more its getting to B series territory. I kind of want this mod to remain part of the T series to have all the others parts added by the other mods available too. I guess in the lore the modified for off-road version by the new company could be a direct competitor to the B series. If I really wanted to go deep with a full B series size truck I would have to get better with the jbeam modification. I was thinking it would need a complete new frame and axles + lifted cab to look the part because at the moment the limitation is the T series' size. The way I could do it is create heavy duty versions of all the T series parts to have a heavy duty version of the truck when they are all put together. At the moment I probably wont add too much more to this mod as its already getting big, and I am still learning how to do certain things. Also included sc's of new wheels I added today.
That's so sick!! I'm sure you'd learn more about Jbeams editing and other things along the way, there's other mod devs out there who'd help you out, as for the mod, you've done a very good job for a first mod (If it is) This needs some recognition, its really underrated
I just found this mod and I am very interested in it I hope you continue work to it. also, I noticed the hoods are based off of older Oshkosh trucks. do you have a discord server to keep us updated?
also, I have a suggestion for your mod would you ever try to make something that looks like a Oshkosh m911? since your mod takes some resemblance to Oshkosh trucks. i would love to see it since it's a military heavy hauler(obviously in a future update though)
