    Although I agree with you that these sorts of game mechanics are really engaging and fun, I have to say that no, at the time there are no plans for this sort of gameplay. We are about the driving experience first and foremost, I won't say that we will never do this, but at the current time there are no plans for it on the Career Mode development map.

    It turns out there is a more difficult balancing under the scenes than meets the eye. This concern/issue has been raised a few times already, and I'll bring it up with the team again as well to see what we can do to improve this. Thanks for bringing it up again!

    I just encountered the same thing with the 30' tilt deck bumper pull trailer, If I take parts off I can only sell them and not reinstall them to the vehicle.
    Edit: I reloaded everything and this time I was able to put parts back on, though reloading didn't have any effect on the D45 when I tried with that.

    I completely agree—it would be amazing to see this and all the similar features come to life, and I’ve heard this sentiment echoed across the community for as long as I can remember! I really appreciate your enthusiasm here @Musicman27 and encourage everyone to keep the suggestions coming. Please go ahead and treat this like a career-related suggestions thread, it’s great to hear what you're all excited about!

    On the note of developer activity, I want to assure you that my colleagues are active across various threads, this one included. If they seem a bit quiet at times, it’s only because they're deep in the development trenches, working hard to bring you the best as always. And between us..... I might spend a bit too much time here — but let’s keep that between us so it doesn’t look like I’m slacking off!! Haha, just kidding, of course.

    I'm right there with you on the excitement for door chimes, interior lights, gas door flaps, windshield wipers, and all the other similar details people have discussed. Here’s to hoping we can make these happen one day!

    Hey I wanted to bring up a pretty interesting suggestion that was already mentioned a while ago in this thread which is the pointless existence of the main highway right now... I totally agree with ARES IV when he talks about how the navigation system forces players to always use regional routes and city/downtown streets to reach destinations even when carrying big rigs and trailers, which honestly doesn't make any sense at all.

    He also talks about how these routes also get repetitive and very crowded while keeping the main highway completely out of use...
    He made a much better post than mine which I think is worth reading!

    I know James already took a look at it (im sorry james) but we didn't fully get a clear answer to it! :p

    Great timing with your question! I've been in several meetings just last week about this very topic.

    As some of you might have seen on the previous page, I've been adjusting the road layout at the Spearleaf Marine Logistics container yard to better suit different vehicle types. We're exploring some promising solutions that would allow level artists to designate specific roads - don't hold me to this, it won't be exactly this - that allows level artists to basically say: "This road is for trucks and cars" "This road is for cars only" or "this road is for police only" etc etc. This should help direct big rigs more realistically through the environment. That logic is currently missing and until Career Mode got to this stage there was never a strong enough case for it. Though it's important to note, this feature is still in development and it’s a bit complex

    In the real world drivers can read signage, but in our game the signage isn't really even there, let alone the rest of the rules of the road. So there are many avenues to explore here, the simplest and most direct would be, "find the size or the weight of the vehicle and determine the route accordingly." We're considering a straightforward approach that routes vehicles based on their size or weight. While we’re not there yet, and it definitely won’t be ready next week or the week after for example, we're actively working on it and moving in the right direction!

    Thanks for your patience and enthusiasm— I completely agree that it's crucial as we tackle this!

    In general would be cool to see more chimes and warning messages on the car's infotainment/cluster, for example engine overheating/damage, lamps left on, low fuel chimes.

    Yeah... The other dev's activity seems to be random "don't do that" statements and a reply to 1 or 2 messages most of the time. So its kinda nice to know that, that's not the case.

    I had a pretty good career related idea last night, but I forgot it :p (If i remember it i will put it here)

    Also quick idea, official Stepvan for career deliveries and food truck shenanigans.

    I did notice in the patch notes that a highway onramp was added to the Quarry though, which is nice. Was that something that you or the map design team added because of suggestions from this thread?

    Haha that was something I added one evening because I drove out of the quarry and thought, "this is dumb, I just want to get on the freeway!!" ... haha. I had to reengineer the road itself, then change up the lanes and terrain and forest and signage on the hwy. It's not super realistic without proper road signs like, "trucks only" or "authorized access" etc etc buuut it'll be good for the delivery gameplay. The quarry was a result of me talking to the original WCUSA artist awhile back, "We have all this space here, it should be a quarry! Big'ol mountain eater company comes in, actually. . . would make for some great gameplay" and on the call I just came up with a basic layout, a week later we had a quarry that eventually required a proper freeway entrance! :D I'm not *officially* on the art team, but I sure cause them grief haha!

    Yeah this sort of vehicle would be great fun for sure!

    A little "bing! low fuel!" would be really great, I don't know why we don't already have that, thanks for that I'll make noise about it with the team!

    i was wondering ( i have not tested it myself yet) if its possible to deliver two or more cars with the car jokey missions, since we got mods like the Gooseneck trailer thats featured on the Repo? I have a hunch that its a planned feature for the trailer delivery missions

    I remember my idea now. Give Career mode Mirror Tuning like sandbox mode has. You would use it more in Career mode due to the style of gameplay.

    This is certainly something that should be possible, it's certainly in the plans! :)

    Don’t mean to correct you, but I thought the gooseneck trailer couldn’t be used in career mode since the node grabber isn’t in career mode.

    Sorry to correct your wrong correction, but you don't need node grabber to deliver a gooseneck, their are height controls on the trailer itself.

    I bought a pickup truck and put a goosehitch on it only to realize their are no Gooseneck trailer deliveries, I hope gooseneck deliveries become a thing in career mode soon.
