Probably a single person with a bunch of fabricated identities and motives to create hype for the news; Someone who got lucky with a bunch of Trojans they’d dumped across the internet.
I wish they would quit with 1980-2005 stuff and either give us a modern pickup or anything older than the 70s. We have 2 cars from the 60's (technically 3 but the barstow in 1969 barely counts) and 2 cars (1 in desperate need of updating [Burnside]) from the 50's Their is PLENTY of stuff they could do with the 40+ years of auto history before the 50's and heck, they could even add more 50-60s stuff easily. New cars per decade for referance: 1900-1949 : NONE, ZERO, ZIP, NADA 50's : 2 60's : 3 (1 in 1969 that is barely 60's [Barstow]) 70's : 3 80's : 11 (Holy crap that's a lot...) 90's : 6 00's : 4 (3 were new 0.27 offroaders) 10's : 4 20's : 3
I want some older cars too. We all want. But now they’re focusing on Trucks. It used to be off road stuff until 0.30 and it looks like 0.33 could be the last trucking update. We may have some cooler stuff after but we don’t knoe
That's a pretty cool concept to have like engines based on older/large designs, even stuff like parts sharing among vehicles is a cool concept.
I’m just going to ignore the /j also you’re supposed to put it at the end --- Post updated --- That happened literally 7 years ago what’s the fuzz about
If you look in the career mode thread, they are working on the delivery aspect of career mode, which is probably why they are focusing so much on trucks and such. They said they are going to work on the motorsports branch next, so more race orientated cars are probably coming in the update after next.
I agree, I remember that they said that are working on Delivery stuff (so few updates of Trucks), next in line is Motorsport career (So few updates of race oriented cars) and for last career branch we know is in line is Police career (So probably we get few police cars). Personally I don't get a whining that we are getting probably new truck, T-Series was a great remaster but T-series is a only Commercial added a log time ago but Medium duty truck is first new commercial vehicle added in ages.
Do you guys think there will be any new campaigns in future or will it just get replaced by the Career mode? I am trying to make a modded campaign but finding roadblocks with out of date code.
I completely missed the last couple days of conversation on the career mode thread which has a few interesting hints from James. Notably that we're getting the holiday update as usual and one other. For reference, since the team got on the current release schedule the fall update is usually late September, which is coming up faster than I care to think about. James did talk about a few things that are coming up, but my mind wandered back to one of the disciplines that isn't on the radar yet.... Private security... Currently we don't have any cash-in-transit trucks, but we really should get some for delivery/private security missions. We could see one based on the D45 and H45 platforms, but neither of those are really large enough for end game missions for this niche... The reason I'm bringing this up now is the new medium duty truck could get up to 3 CIT configs (SWB and LWB single rear axle, and LWB tandem axle) making this a rather valuable addition to the game roster for that alone.
I think there will be more mission campaigns, like Driver Training V2, but I'm not sure if we'll see another 'Rocky Start' or 'Hustle and Bustle' any day soon. Most of the recent gameplay has been very categorical, so a narrative-forward campaign consisting of one-off challenges doesn't really seem like it's the devs' priority ATM.
I always wanted that, BeamNG would really benefit from driving licenses campaign because these skills can translate to other games and real life. Learning to drift, race on a track, operate trucks, busses... even basic stuff like driving stick, parallel parking, etc. No other car game does as far as I know.
inb4 you have to pass a driver's license test to start career mode and progress through the different branches
I really wouldn't mind that! As long as you don't have to pay for each attempt like IRL, and it's not too hard at first, it'd be a cool feature. That brings two nice gameplay elements: -Those who know how to use such vehicles IRL will pass it in a breeze -Those who don't will actually learn something I'm all for it
