I mean, the .tech version exists plus Beam is already probably used by companies that sponsor it. --- Post updated --- broken link
Holy crap the new medium duty could have a bank truck config and that would perfectly play (and is basically required) into one of the promised career paths (that I really want) perfectly! I hadn't even though of that!
I see that a bunch of people said the tanker truck looks like the Gavril Durham, but something I thought about: What if it is a Gavril Durham? The creator of the Durham recently said that he no longer intends to keep updating it and I’m thinking the reason could be, he made an agreement with the devs that it be added to the game as official content (or at least used it as a design basis for a similar official vehicle). We can’t see much in the teaser but from what I can see, the frame and fuel tank under the cab look pretty much identical to the Durham. It wouldn’t be the first time a mod became official content, the ability to have traffic was originally a mod after all
Imagine needing to drive perfectly, following all the traffic laws for 30 mins to get a truck license in career mode. That would be hilarious
Im so pumped for this update. Ive been going through school and started working for Peterbilt and ive discovered a deep love for heavy duty trucks so this next update being all about trucking has got me excited.
Having license missions for career mode would be such a nice throwback to Gran Turismo 4, which arguably has the best career mode ever in any solely racing focused driving game or simulator.
I hope the T-Series gets an optional BOV (blowoff valve) for the turbochargers. I think it would be a nice addition.
If that's true, steam only users are gonna have a heart attack when they learn it took the dev's 6 months to add a mod to the game...
Obviously if it does get added it's going to have the dev's level of polish and variety, it's not literally just going to be the Durham mod.
0.33 may come with a new launcher maybe? Tdev confirmed (kinda) he is working on one and leaked the new start/launch button Also could have a WCusa expation again as evidence from the image with T series
I would not be surprised for a map extension . It's not mentionned anywhere but they added a few things here and there in 0.32 . For example they added some kind of cement / liquid silos for filling up concrete mixer / tanker on the Spearleaf Island Refinery Pier but they never told anyone . I've noticed this a few days ago while making some vehicles deliveries from that spot . They also added a highway entrance right in front of the quarry . I was like wait a minute , that was not here last time I've played so yeah , map extension are definitely coming . I wonder what they would like to do at the end of the highway , where it's all blocked , near the movie studio / warehouse...
I think they are planning some liquid moving stuff but im not too sure. I faintly remember a discussion about it and some questions but nothing to show sadly
There is also the "Try new UI" button in the parts selector, so maybe a new menu overhaul, as menus were largely left the same when they revamped the rest of the UI
Yeah but since they have not been told about the delay its gonna seem like a bunch of lazy bull crap to them. This leads to review bombing. They are! Its for career mode that is already set in WCUSA. They even have the fluid transport boxes in the public game already!
