Why are time trials split up between main menu and free roam?

I really don't like that time trials are split up between the "Time Trials" in main menu and then the time trials in free roam. Why aren't all time trials available through main menu? There are time trials I like that are ONLY available in free roam! Why do I need to first load into free roam and then find the correct time trial race, its cumbersome, I would like to access all of the time trials from main menu...

What? You can access scenarios from the main menu, but not time trials

 

Mine is blank for some reason. Both with or without mods installed

 

Unfortunately not always.

 

Another reason why time trial menu is better:
1) the list of fastest timest shown is bigger in time trial menu, compared to free roam list of time results
2) in time trial menu you can also see the car you used if you hover your mouse cursor over the time; in free roam you cant see this
