Re: General discussion chat You don't count as the owner of the car unless you bought the thing with your own money you earned by working. Otherwise, you're driving your parents' car. Furthermore, owning a BMW doesn't mean you own a prestige car. It doesn't imply wealth or a life of luxury, which is the idea you try so hard to project but fail badly at. Buying an Australian delivered BMW, I'll say good luck with leaky fluids; if the motor doesn't leak, the gearbox will leak. If the gearbox doesn't leak, the diff will leak. If the diff doesn't leak, your dog's anal glands will leak. Just to put your BS in proportion for everyone else not up to speed: (imported from here) lmao you entitled little shitlord you're going to hell Chuffed because I got enough cash for a full tank of petrol for Christmas. Future Mrs. Zappy has something for me, but hinted toward New Years before giving it to me, which is weird.
Re: General discussion chat Which one of these will run with a R9 270 on Battlefield 4 and get good fps. http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Pentium...G3258/dp/B00KPRWAZQ/?&tag=bom-tomshardware-20 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6146996&SID=3xndk14gto6u Or which one will run better with games in general. A fx 6300 barely runs any slower than a i7 lol
Re: General discussion chat Right, I guess I should clarify why I need this car. I need that engine. I need any combustion engine I can get my hands on. I have been working on this project for more than 8 months, and have researched, modeled and worked on perfecting it before spending any money. This is a project, that is bigger than I could think of. A lot of time has gone into this. Unfortunately, I can not tell you guys what it is. Once it is done, and working to the point where I can say,"holy crap, I did this!", and I have patented it (yes, it is big to the point of patenting) then I will release the news. If all goes to plan, the details will be released sometime during March. I have high hopes for this project. The BMW I have found is a 530i V8, going for $3250. It has a super high millage, but, that does not matter to me since the engine is going to literally be stripped down. This is not just me buying a car for the sheer factor of owning it, this is being used for a project that will be undergoing once the car is under my possession. The car has 251,489 KM on it. I didn't want it to come down to buying a car, I originally wanted to build the engine, but due to the camshaft and drivetrain timing, I decided to just buy a car which already has it done. pf12351.
Re: General discussion chat Oh I can't wait for the day you have to earn a living. You don't sound like the kid of a particularly rich family going by the gifts, So I can assume mom has a very tedious or just generally shitty job. Years of her life wasted doing it, so she can support you... especially because it sounds like your family split, and she was stuck with your sorry ass. Now I may have guessed wrong, but I can't find a situation where my point doesn't stand. Generally (and expecially with a parent) they get you things they think you'll like and if she's as nice as my mother she spends christmass with a massive smile on her face super excited about it. I doubt she gets you nice things to spite you. If you don't like it then you should kind of feel bad about that, and at least pretend. Nice way to sound like an ungrateful asshole, explaining that you hate your mother for genuinely being nice to you and getting you things. It's one thing to dislike a present... it's another to call the day shit, cry and hate your mother like a spoiled little bitch just because she didn't get you a fucking computer. Fucking crying because of "shitty gifts". Why dont' you cry because there's nothing to eat tonight? Fucking complaining that no-one has given you something for free. If only there was some way you could do things and get money and get cool tech for yourself. you actually don't need a raspi. What you need is some decency. because your thoughts aren't really thoughts. They're just selfish reactions where you simply want things and feel it should be made available to you because of the sheer awesomeness of your person, hmm?
Re: General discussion chat Got Alien Isolation. A damn fine game. Make me want to watch the original movie (1979). Also, found out that the movie "Prometheus" is sort-of connected to the Alien world. It's the pre-sequel of the pre-sequel of Alien. mfw (imported from here) Also found out that the sequel of Prometheus (Prometheus Paradise, which is also the pre-sequel of Alien, is a thing now )
Re: General discussion chat Got ETS2 for Christmas and a Logitech G27, loving them so much. G27 is so nice to use on Beam, ETS2 and Race 07. Done 2 hours on ETS2 already.
Re: General discussion chat Your extreme sense of self entitlement is very irritating. Be happy your family cares enough to get you anything at all; it was their choice to get you gifts in the first place.
Re: General discussion chat I'm sorry I made that post yesterday. Maybe I was kind of pissed. I don't know. Don't hate me. I also was not really at a good place mentally in the first place. And it wasn't my whole family. My mom has been a bitch for the past 6 months to all of us. No wonder.
Re: General discussion chat Assembled the PC yesterday, and am currently heading up to Michigan for two days to hang with cousins. Pics: Very grateful for these parts, as well as the chair I ended up getting. (no, I'm not just saying it to spite the ungrateful)
Re: General discussion chat (imported from here) You lucky son of a bitch. OT - 67 freakin updates to run on my laptop, plus a full scan. Yae!
Re: General discussion chat Okay, this is going to be a bit weird. I paint for a game called NR2003, and reference pictures galore. To save the trouble I have them on my new laptop with my computer next to me. Here's what my setup looks like without the laptop: (imported from here) I've set up my laptop so I can have quick glances at it while making these cars. With the laptop, it looks like this: (imported from here) Now, to improve connectivity, I've hardwired my laptop to my router, which is on a shelf to my right. The ethernet cable now cuts right in front of my face, so I get to see some monitor, some laptop, WHAM ETHERNET CABLE. This is what that looks like: (imported from here) It's an awfully weird setup but hopefully I'll get used to it.
Re: General discussion chat Umm, why not just run the cable around the back of the monitor, that sounds like a complete pain atm...
