I've been working on this for probably around a week now and I think this is a good time to start showing off my work, so here goes nothing.

This is the Covet Engine Remaster mod and it does what the name implies, to remove confusion from the stock engines ive taken inspersion from @JΛVI and make it a custom slot, example below:

Currently I've pretty much finished the DOHC engines, and I've pretty much just started working on the SOHC engines, there will be a list below:

So far the engines look like this:

(the purple paint is able to be changed via the car color selector and uses the tertiary paint, same goes for the next ones)

No clear timing cover for the SOHC yet, as I'm still working on it. If anybody would like to give me some tips for texturing it would be greatly appreciated (8/9/24)

    guys i did a thing..

yes theyre twin turbos on a covet, i like to have fun. these produce around 700 hp alone without cams, with cams it makes 1800 hp. but ive also added a giant (realistic size giant) turbo to the SOHC one

may be hard to tell but it is actually bigger than normal, cause i edited the models (8/11/24)

thats what im aiming for, though the SOHC is a lil jank but they both still have options for stock, paintable, and clear top and bottom timing covers

The Dseries thing is missing the ignition system
The cam gear also could be fatter, there doesnt seem to be enough metal there

also have in mind that this is the wrong category for this, right one would be https://www.beamng.com/forums/mods-and-skins.25/

yeah ive seen that and its been bothering me but ive been putting it off because im not super sure how to go about it, plus when i was doing it it was probably late at night and i was most likely just too lazy to fix it. but i also definitely need to make textures for the cams and not have the gears just one solid color for each texture if you know what i mean
