Oh can you fix the exhaust backfire not matching up to the exhaust pipe please? I know someone fixed that problem but they didn't specify how to
Already fixed on both. It was a little bit of a pain figuring it out because there isn't really a comprehensive tutorial. The exhaust smoke or fire moves through the pipes in one direction. Example: node ex1 connects to node ex2, to ex3, to ex4, to finally out the exhaust pipe at ex5. If you were to connect ex1 to ex3 then ex2 to ex4 then the exhaust particles would not work. So, that was a process. Then I had to tune the exhaust note. The new racing exhaust is still untextured currently, but it has a louder sound than the stock tri exhaust that is on both versions in the release version right now. The tri exhaust has a giant muffler on it and the racing exhaust does not. The new exhaust is basically this exhaust pipe here: As a result, the stock exhaust with a muffler/cat combo is significantly quieter than the racing exhaust with extra horsepower loss.
Work in progress.....please be patient. Gotta play around with the roughness values and up the resolution on the normal map. That is why it looks like it has crevices on flat parts or just looks like it is scratched to hell. But it is coming along. --- Post updated --- MUCH Better. --- Post updated ---
This is gonna be sweet. Dunno if it will be in this update or not, but some point I am gonna try to get this dash in the LM Spec config. View attachment 1158156 View attachment 1158157 View attachment 1158158
Optional working and textured rollcage now available. Model and textures are from Forza Horizon 4 or 5. I hacked the texture to look good in-game. Made an AO, Metallic, and rough texture version of the original texture. It also shares the texture with the new racing exhaust. New LM specific dash fully textured. Both the model and the textures for the dash are from a pre-existing model from Forza Horizon 4 or 5.
Just optimized the custom rollcage jbeam. Scratch made. Testing concluded you can drop a 963lb tire on the top of the J58 from about 10meters and the rollcage soaks it up. Math nerds will know what how much that is in newtons. Edit: Nerfed it a bit, now it's about a quarter the strength it was. Still protects the same as before, but it will deform and not spring back to shape.
It's a labor of love. I really do NEED someone desperately to help me make skins for this. Can't figure it out. I also need someone to mesh slap this car onto a legacy 0.23 Bolide. Can't seem to get it right, and going full custom is going to be a nigh impossible with my limited skill set.
I would need to swap over EVERYTHING onto the newer jbeam collision mesh. there is no guarantee that this will fix the car turning into a spiky mess when you hit something going fast. The new rollcage does help and the car is significantly improved spiky mess from before I did anything to it, but it is still very bad. I need a talented partner is all. I work for a living, and I do this in my free time. There is a private mod of this model car on Modland, but he is, for good reason, not sharing at the very least until he is finished with it until he is happy. people are a$$es. I wasn't going to release mine, but a few people convinced me to share. It is just so much work, you have no idea. I am probably 1000+ hours into this mod. It still is not very good.
Not earliest, the latest version of the bolide before it became two parts and received it's facelift by dev's. and I don't really wanna mess with that crap. I was hoping someone else could do it. I am getting burnt out from doing this. I am gonna take a break for a month at least. I haven't played arma 3 or HL2 in forever.
Nah it is late, or early depending on your time zone. It's 530AM here. I just wanted to get this out so I can relax tomorrow. I feel a weight has been lifted off me. Put there by myself, of course. I am a perfectionist. Cannot stop working until it is fixed/presentable.
sure it's 735 pm here so have a good time --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- yeah I just found some bug the wheel turns black which it should be chrome and there is nitro on the stock version of the car which I can fix easily.
There are several versions that are "stock" body. is it actually the "Stock" config? Also that is not a bug. It's called a shadow, bruh LOL.
