Re: General discussion chat You inspire me with confidence in your "patented device" with your "incredible" knowledge on engines.
Re: General discussion chat Maybe he doesn't know anything about cars and thinks he's the car god because he has money.
Re: General discussion chat My thoughts on this year. SCS Software is most likely one, if not the only game studio I'm really happy with. -Constant Blog Posts -Community events -They listen to the players (They once limited access to a certain area, and after some people complained they reverted back their changes). Oovee is one of the worst for me. The whole crapstorm that is happening on their forum make me feel sorry about buying Spintires. -Missed promises. One of the admins announced a quite big update some months ago, and the day that update was going to be released, it turned out that he didn't received a copy of that update, that the update had to be tested yet, and etc. -The above is a consequence of poor communication inbetween them. My favourite games this year: Dishonored A great great game. The story is simply amazing. Mechanics are pretty nice and the artistic touch of the guy that worked on HL2's City 17 is pretty noticeable. ETS2 Well. It's fun. Wolfestein: The new order Started this game a few days ago. It's really fun. Mechanics are simple, nice weapons, nice story. All blends nicely together. Alien Isolation Nice affinity with the movie. 2scurry4me. The worst game IMO for this year: NFS:MW It's 90% "BUY THIS DLC TO UNLOCK THIS CAR EVEN IF THE FILES ARE ALREADY INGAME BECAUSE WE WANT YOUR MONEY" Dream It looks nice. That's it. Why did I even buy it :|
Re: General discussion chat This list pretty much reflects my opinions as well- but what about BeamNG?
Re: General discussion chat Its also a 40gb fucking download and the retail copy only comes with 25gb of that on the disk. I bought retail in order to avoid downloading the game from scratch, not to still have to download more data than makes up most games still. Not impressed on that front alone. I get that it doesnt fit on a single disk (it actually has 3), just include a few more, I am even happy to pay a few quid extra if need be, but what is the point of only including half the game on the retail copy, give me all of it for fucks sake. I'm even happy to accept there might be a day 1 patch after installation. I am not happy with the implementation of the retail copy of Wolfenstein. Skyrim also pissed me off on that front a little, it included *all* the game content on the retail disk but the installer simply registered the game on steam and started downloading it from there instead. However you could cancel the steam install, copy the disk content in and restart the install from your steam library instead. - - - Updated - - - Lack of solid communications angers me on BeamNG, although I dislike getting vocal on that.
Re: General discussion chat Maybe disk has some utterly compressed textures? 40GB is quite a lot for a game. I haven't bought Max Payne 3 because it's 50GB. Just for that. BeamNG is obviously my favourite one. I also meak draw. (imported from here)
Re: General discussion chat Its a 40gb download on steam. Disk contents total 25gb. Sure enough after doing the disk install, steam still wants to download 15gb (I have disks - plural, there are 3)
Re: General discussion chat Im back from wales The journey there took 10 hours and the journey back took 5.5 hours. Thanks to road works, woo UK.
Re: General discussion chat Well, my laptop got stuck in a cycle where it's supposed to be reverting its updates. It's been "reverting" for three hours. It says "Don't turn off your computer" but should I turn it off to reboot anyway? EDIT: Nevermind, it stopped.
Re: General discussion chat Plug it into the charger if it isn't already and go to sleep If its not done when you wake up then you probably have an issue.
Re: General discussion chat Damn you Jeremy Clarkson, I want a Porsche 928 now. I found a '78 on ebay for $2,800. Runs, drives, rare dogleg 5-Speed transmission in it, comes with an '84 parts car. FUCK! SOMEONE GIVE ME THE MONEY TO BUY THIS THING!
Re: General discussion chat If you want to be really accurate and get a 928GTS like Jeremy's It'll set you back about £20k easy. Yeah the days of cheap TG challenge cars are gone it seems
