    since the latest update I'm running into some issues with being stuck on the clock screen indefinitely when enabling/disabling mods.
    At some point you can just press escape though and it will close the loading screen.

    hm do you also have the CMU errors if you spawn the SBR4 or the Scintilla? I got one other person who also confirmed this issue.

    Anyone gotten this to work on Arch linux with Wayland? it works on X11 but can't seem to get it working on Wayland. Any helpful advice or even direction i should look would be great. Here are my logs -

    It looks like the game BeamNG.drive has crashed due to a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV), which often indicates issues such as invalid memory access. Based on the stack trace, the crash occurred within the libnvidia-glcore.so library, which suggests a problem with the NVIDIA drivers or OpenGL rendering.

    Also i'm using nvidia river Version: 560.35.03

    Which wayland desktops have you tried? Maybe try a different one?
    No that this would help but it does work with xwayland on my system (AMD gpu). Crashes on startup with pure wayland.

    working on wayland via xwayland that is. I doubt it would work on wayland natively.

    You probably don't have any xwayland support enabled/installed.

    I'm having similiar issues to zono50, on nvidia in combination with a wayland desktop environment. I have tried both Gnome and KDE Plasma on wayland, the game does not launch on either, so the specific desktop environment seems to be not important. I also tried different versions of the nvidia driver, both older versions as well as the ones with the open source part. Apart from that, I have tried to use gamescope as well as xwayland-run in an attempt to force the game to use xwayland, which does not fix the issue either. Not sure about the parameters though, might as well be a configuration issue. Any ideas for gamescope parameters? Definitely not an expert on that end...

    The game works fine on my end on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS in GNOME Wayland session on my end. I'm testing this on a laptop with switchable graphics, so normally everything runs on an integrated Radeon 780M, but the game runs on a RTX 4060. I don't have any weird crashes related to that game works fine both on Wayland and X11 on that configuration. Sadly I was unable to reproduce any Wayland issues that were reported in this thread :(

    Since the latest update (I think) I get the error dialog "It is possible that your hardware/OS does not meet the minimum requirements" after clicking on Launch. I'm running on Fedora. I haven't changed anything since last time I played, except the game updated. After closing the dialog another error appears: "BeamNG.drive 0.32.5.0 0xC0000005 STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION". I'm not using a different compatibility tool, just the default settings. Any ideas?

    Try to run the game and after it's closing attach the log file from ~.local/share/BeamNG.drive/0.32/ in this thread.

    Also for anyone stumbling upon this, it seems the binary has been renamed.

    Quick question: is there a plan to add a website to track known issues similar to gitlab issues perhaps? Me personally I find it hard to keep track of what's already been reported and whats new, since I am not always on the forums to stay up to date

    There is a Steam Deck preset on the game now! :D

    I also saw this on the changelog: Improved force feedback compatibility for Linux users

    And I can confirm the FFB on my G27 feels smoother, like on Assetto Corsa. Freaking awesome, thank you devs!

    EDIT: screenshots from camera mode are still broken for me.

    Nice work! Everything seems to be functioning again except for a few issues which I also had in the previous working version. I tested both with a completely fresh game by deleting the $HOME/.local/share/BeamNG.drive directory and rebinding everything.

    1. For me the "steering lock strength" slider seems to behave like an on/off switch for my openFFBoard wheel. Even at 1% it seems to be at 100% power and feels like hitting a virtual wall. Since the gain is so high turning the wheel into the endstop causes it to bounce off the endstop pretty violently along with some oscillation. The only usable setting I've found for this option is 0%. Even then I can still feel steering lock a little but it doesn't bounce.

    2. Clicking apply in the force feedback settings screen causes the wheel to make loud noises or move violently and unexpectedly. This also happens when changing to some vehicles. This only happens in the Linux port, I don't experience it when using wine. I posted a video in this thread previously about this issue.

    3. Launching the ETK Driver Experience Center map causes an amdgpu driver crash. This also happens using the vulkan renderer in wine.

    4. The loading screens are static images, the progress bar and various text that are suppose to change as the map loads don't appear but the maps do load eventually despite this.

    That file did not exist for me. But I fixed the issue by uninstalling the Steam snap and just installing Steam from Fedora packages. It worked right away!

    Only annoying thing about today's update was that I had to redo all my settings, and my saved vehicles were gone.

    For a long time now beamng on linux has not migrated the old game dir to the new one automatically. I'm not sure why this is the case but you have to do it by hand. You can copy the old directory to the new one if you know the previous and current version and the location of the game dir on your system. I have no idea if that's the same for everyone but for me, using the linux port, it is as follows:

    Of course if you use snap everything will be in completely different places, and moving between snap and other versions will require some searching for the game files. But if they are still on disk you might be able to get them back.

    Unfortunately the game is broken in Steam Game mode on SteamOS/Bazzite right now. Both the Linux port and Vulkan don't launch properly and just open to a weird coloured screen. The DX11 version through Windows works, but that's it.

    Yeah. Seeing this too. And when it does try to submit the crash report I see:

    Confirmed this too. Full system lock up. Can't even get to dmesg. kernel 6.10.10, x11, mesa git.
