Could someone compile all the teasers and bits of info we got about the next update? Last bunch of major updates had someone do that, but not for this one
Oh god... I have a mid/low-end AMD setup and on WCUSA my 40+ Spawn FPS turned to 15- Spawn fps with Vulcan. I REALLY REALLY hope they fixed that...
I know I'm a bit late to respond, but the "insider info" in question is that Nadeox has been a dev for years.. and years..
In the very first word of the comment you quoted. And now for my take on Vulkan becoming stable, this is huge and what I have been waiting for for a long time. This opens the doors to better gfx technologies working their way into the game over time (hopefully also going to see better anti-aliasing soon, at long last). As somebody else mentioned also, it does suggest they have gotten vram use in control now. --- Post updated --- If its any consolation, I am getting really good fps on Vulkan with my AMD setup. Mind, its higher end, but at least shows its likely not an AMD issue in the broader sense.
Vulkan is going to be the biggest part of 0.33 in my opinion (if true.). Currently main issue (i think) with vulkan is the vram usage, especially in VR. And when you completly run out of vram it causes so much issues like flickering and such. Main advantage of vulkan over dx11 is drawcalls are handled by multiple cores. Maps like WCUSA and Italy have a lot of drawcalls, and spawning in traffic increases drawcalls. Carkiller also stated that they will look into implementing FSR and i think couple of more things once they improve Vulkan.
Whenever I used Vulkan I got slightly lower FPS than the other renderer (not unplayable but between both I prefered the older one) so hopefully Vulkan will run better on my PC this update.
Mine is a 4 GB VRAM setup, and apparently, when Vulcan runs out of VRAM, it's TANKS. I want more looks and decent fps than max fps and decent looks, so I'm always maxing out my VRAM. And no, your high-end setup being good does not comfort me. It does not offend me in any way, but it does not comfort me. I am excited for Vulcan, if they can make it stable AND compatible with VRAM maxing. It WILL open up many opportunities graphically, but first I want the same, if not better, fps with the current graphics. --- Post updated --- And adding a half-decent gamepad FFB. Right Now it just vibrates at 100% capacity if you even think of turning over 30mph.
Ok this is the main reason for delay i think This is how effects all gamers what do you think Nvidia or Amd sides
I got a great day to day and this made it greater --- Post updated --- Oh my gosh yes --- Post updated --- I have a GTX 3060Ti and Ryzen 7 5000 and it gets bottlenecks all the time with the gpu even at low settings. It doesn’t happen with vulcan
Ah yes the almighty gtx 3060ti Also he is the video about The pedestrian system that they are testing in beamng.tech :
