Hence it makes no sense. My question was what's the "mechanic" behind the odo on parts ? I know it's the price, but what's the trade off for the super cheap parts ? They don't have a % chance to break with higher odo numbers, so you literally buy EVERYTHING used, apart from an engine and oilpan, which are needed to stop the oil leak. The only way used parts make sense is if there's a chance of braking.
I don`t know why but even with the new and updated BEAMLR mod that I just donwloaded and installed, In my game, the options just don't appear for me to interact with the garages (photo 2 of the house) or gas stations (photo 1), I've tried reinstalling the mod several times but it just doesn't work, maybe it's the new version of 0.33 of the BEAMNG
Ok so here goes my outputs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1yF_qWhVgmiu-Lj2m23iCKSqpSEExvx8s?usp=drive_link
A lot of parts have decreased performance with high odometer. Old brakes will wear out quicker. Turbos have increased friction so give less boost, same with superchargers. Differential and transmission also get increased friction. Friction clutches have "wearLockTorqueCoef" and "wearClutchFreePlayCoef" increase with odometer, not sure exactly what they do in game but it's in the code. The main issue is that most of these scale linearly from 30,000 km up to 1,000,000 km which is too much, so we never really feel the full effect. But it's still there so say you build the exact same config as a race opponent for a drag race but with high odometer parts, you will lose. That being said I'm probably going to increase the price of used parts to reflect the actual performance decrease because I also think used parts are pretty overpowered right now.
Damn that's nice to know ! Thanks ! Yes, prices should be way more expensive on average, sometimes they're exponentially cheap, like 10 times. Having a chance of braking would be sublime !
Level edits aren't loaded which means you most likely didn't install the mod correctly. Follow troubleshooting guide on github, reinstall in a clean userfolder and carefully follow install instructions. Log files contain a ton of errors unrelated to this mod, backup your userfolder and install in a clean userfolder without mods to see if it fixes the issue. That being said the lua error could also be caused by a race condition when vehicle spawns, something I've changed for next version to use hooks that should avoid issues caused by frame delay that doesn't work the same on all hardware. If your issue isn't fixed after a clean userfolder install, next update might fix it, but there's no way for me to be sure because I don't get the error myself.
yeah bro, just like I though it does not work, I did the correct install withe the tutorial and it did not work, please help
You got a bx and roamer on UTAH not starting. Check your game integrity, clean user folder, west coast beamlr spawn.
bro I moved all my mods away from the game’s folder (like as if they were deleted) and it still gave me this error, checking integrity files --- Post updated --- it says it’s missing a file, reinstalling the game now
On Utah, (last race in the silver highway racing league and others) after a while traffic spawns back in, as I race...lol For long races it seems.
i agree, having a bad head gasket leak and missfire would be nice aswell as a bad turbo causing engine damage or not being able to take a higher pressure would be cool
You might have a mod that interferes with this mod. If you install in a clean userfolder with no other mods, carefully following my install instructions, there's no reason for it not to work because this isn't something that can bug depending on hardware. Open world editor and look for a folder in the scenetree called "BeamLR". If you can't see it, either you're not installed correctly or you have another mod that overwrites my level edits, like the mod that adds lights to west coast. If the mod works in other maps like Utah but not West Coast, it's most likely another mod conflicting.
but thats the problem, I`ve install a fresh game, fresh download, fresh everything, this is a new pc and do not work, on my older one it just worked fine, on this one just don`t work. do you have a DC so we can talk or something? I`ve might be able to record the full install but im sure that i done everything right. the custom spawns don`t show up when choosing the west cost too.
Drive strip club is not showing on my GPS. What can I do for fix it? --- Post updated --- I can select on GPS locations but dont show the blue mark for go to --- Post updated --- I repaired just one thing in the car and it bugged out completely even the floor and front wheel disappeared I switched to another car it spawned in the water I teleported to the garage the engine and a bunch of other stuff disappeared
@r3eckon Check Utah for non starters like west coast. I won a pink slip. Poor guy never stood a chance.
"wearLockTorqueCoef" means if car is manual when clutch engages and "wearClutchFreePlayCoef" how much it slips since irl cars with high enough odometer parts tend to have real problem with clutch engaging at high position also it slips you put foot down engine revving but car is not pulling
If possible, each part could have a 'brake chance' based on it's own odo number/range But average odo brake chance is also golden. I think it's possible to implement, but not sure how hard.
Seems the racing ai at Hirochi Raceway short D class won't start also the times are nuts. Turns out automation as well ? Is this a bug or is it me with extra mods ? Tried with 0 mods (clean folder) and AI don't start on Hirochi and automation. I did do the Hirochi medium length.
Probably broken on all maps, idk what devs did but waypoints aren't working properly. I'm currently going through every map to fix them. As for times this is normal when you abandon a round. You get +2 hours, opponents get +1 hour. Basically you can't win the event anymore if you abandon a round. It's just highly unlikely that level edits wouldn't load for you while they work for everyone else if you have no mods that can interfere and BeamLR is installed correctly. Follow the userfolder structure dump instructions and attach the tree.txt file to your reply so I can confirm everything is installed correctly.
On the Hirochi (medium) AI would start but after a few meters they would stop and I'd loose them on the map, see a few driving all over the place...
