Re: General discussion chat Its ok i guess. They may as well have called it the logitech edition though. I wonder if they colour matched it just for that.
Re: General discussion chat I just got electrocuted by the tablet. I had my feet on my pc case (which is grounded ofc) and was sliding my fingers along one edge of the tablet and they slid over the dock connector. Turns out that thing is live, cause it frggin hurt. I swear everything i own is trying to electrocute me, my pedals and tablet are live and my headphones and pc/footrest are grounded. Damn that hurt.
Re: General discussion chat something i've noticed, the general discussion chat is the WORST when it comes to being slow atm, so i bet it's exactly what used to happen on the RoR forums: this thread has gotten so big that it's causing database problems, which is causing the forums to lag
Re: General discussion chat Yeah, I've considered getting one, but I can't justify $70 when my 210 actually has more room and works fine. I also want an SSD. I need to raise $1333. How much do you think my PC would sell for? I guarantee the 4670k to 4.2Ghz at 1.25v and it comes with everything but the HDD. ('Cause I need that) - - - Updated - - - We're only at 500 pages. We need to hit almost 1k.
Re: General discussion chat Just found out that the 970 can have the light brightness set to be linked to volume levels. Its sweet
Re: General discussion chat I was at work when it was bought up, but yes I caught the ftdi reference. I do however maintain that the ftdi USB to UART adapters are the best on the market if you get legit ones (which my 3 are, my 1 fake let its magic smoke out anyway) - - - Updated - - - Ive also used my ftdi cable with the tablet already if only you could access com ports from windows runtime applications rather than resorting to desktop, would be nice.
Re: General discussion chat Yeah, the COM ports suck like that. WRT apps are more useful. And don't we all love bricked things. FTDI just ruined their reputation quite a bit.
Re: General discussion chat I use serial quite alot and would love to do so in a touch friendly form on my tablet. Instead seems I just have to make my own desktop application with huge ass buttons. As my ftdi chips are legit, they still work and better than the competition (very least I will never touch prolific chips again, awful). I suppose I could use this as an excuse to get a WiFi module for a microcontroller. Maybe a simple telnet server on microcontroller bridging to uart.
Re: General discussion chat So, Logitech's software won't recognise the G430 unless you use the USB adapter. Why the fuck don't they just make it USB?
Re: General discussion chat I am not building this thing My current PC is fine, I just have too much time, so, why not? I don't need another PC, I don't WANT another PC. I love my current PC, and it will stay as it is until it dies, and then, I will keep components, and utilize them.
Re: General discussion chat What is there to recognize? It doesn't have any features you can push through a 3.5mm jack. No headphones do.
Re: General discussion chat One of the first results for "BSOD wallpaper". I'll just link it instead of embedding. http://iliketowastemytime.com/sites/default/files/blue-screen-of-death.jpg
Re: General discussion chat While it may have been based on one from then it has a colour gradient in the background. Unless Microsoft was using PowerPoint to create their bluescreen messages before i was born i don't think the has ever been one with a gradient. - - - Updated - - - Dat URL living up to its name
Re: General discussion chat No, you're right, they've always been a flat colour. The gradient is just to make it a bit more artsy for background use and modernisation (although the terrible banding does look like something from PowerPoint). What I meant was those layouts of BSOD with the title at the top and the short descriptions haven't been around since the 9x/DOS Windows era.
