How are u? I have quite a bit of time, but I’m interested in discussing what is being done and what can be done with ae
Publish it as soon as you have time, using something other than google drive is a good idea, well thought out
Well, as long as CoolDude54 making his update, u all can use my version of the mod (ModsFire). Its not really for public, so there is fixes only for parts needed to me. But car will not be orange on touge maps, u'll see it in the side mirrors and you won’t hopeless look at the dashboard at night. Some of headlights are brighter, some are not. You can try asking me to do something, but I'm only motivated to give you direction for search
Im making this the official Beta for 1.8, but my only problem is I cant trust the website you put the hotfix on. Nextime, put it on like mediafire or something.
Thx! --- Post updated --- I'm so glad that the mod is actually being updated cause its too good to be abandoned, all the new configs are fantastic! I remember playing it when it was first released man was it a innovation even tho it wasn't THAT long ago.. before then we were stuck with the Modland AE86...
How funny would it be if CoolDude adds a AE85 config to be like Itsuki's Levin. I don't imagine itll take that much more work, but the engine sounds will be issue. If i can contribue to this somehow let me know
The livery isn't a problem along with the turbo but I need to find the Levin grille on the front of the car. The AE85 at least from images has a different grille but I'm not sure since in some episodes its like a normal AE86 Levin grille and in others its striped pieces of plastic instead of one solid piece. I'll research more. NEVERMIND: I found out that the mod already has the other grille type. I'll find the in game textures and make something up for a config. --- Post updated --- Do you know where the skin file for the Levin hatchback is? If its fine with you I will try to add my own configs to the mod.
Even if you don't remake the whole mod, you could just re-do the Jbeam. The most important thing to me is to fix the suspension (The rear suspension is independent instead of a solid axle, and the stuff in the tuning menu uses a different/outdated system that bugs me on every config I make). You could probably take the solid axle from the Barstow or Moonhawk (You should use the custom 3-link setup, as it would have coil springs instead of leaf springs) and take the front suspension from something else (Not sure if the AE86 front suspension is double wishbone or Macpherson strut).
The hopper already has the correct rear suspension geometry and the front is Macpherson strut. The real issue with this mod is the incorrect weight. It should be 950 kg for the coupe and 970 for the hatch but both are 1200+. The whole mod might as well be remade if someone is going to fix those issues though. This one is six years old and it really shows.
