Hey Matissador My dad had an e34 Touring years ago, and I remember both the low-beam and high-beam headlights pointing more or less in the same direction (obviously I am simplifying here … yes, headlamps are adjustable, there is LHD/RHD, they point more towards the own lane etc. etc., but just generally speaking: more or less parallel). Googling some random pictures tells me my memory is not playing tricks on me: This is where I see some potential in your mod which is otherwise visually very spot-on … While the inner high-beams point more or less in the right direction the outer low-beams squint in a "walleye" fashion, they point too much outwards. It's as if they were flattened to be parallel to the grill. I dunno what you're up to right now, but just a general question: Would you be interested to try out my version of the e34.dae file? Once seen it can't be unseen …
The M5's (3.6) radiator was also 2cm too close to the back of the light, so to access highbeams and change bulbs you had to move that to replace bulbs. Useless anecdote, but fond memories of much swearing - and you're 100% right on the placement of the lights. @Matissador - thank you again for this mod, it's a favourite of mine and makes me want to get one again.
Yeah your right, sent it then, thx. For fact when I've started working on this mod I like it so much that I buyed two of them I just want to let you know guys im currently didn't work on my e34 and my charger mod because I have a big project taking all my time and Im sure you will like it
They're solid cars when they've been serviced and kept properly, I had a hunch the other day that you drive e34 by how the m5 3.8 kicks out on 2nd gear into either a) a spectacular and easy drift or b) overcooking it and spinning. I even tricked a friends wife to kick the clutch in 2nd in a roundabout - she had had her license for about a month and it took little convincing. Very irresponsive, but me and my friend died laughing as she panics then starts yelling at us for tricking her . That 25% or so difflock makes it handleable though. A colleague that was MB-fan on his life got a C36 with automatic and open rear diff - very surprising car when it spun out lol
Ok cool I wanna do it the best I can, I'll redo and finish up and post it. Done. I rotated both low-beams and all their parts and inner thingymajigs 5° degrees. I don't know how much exactly they were off but 5° look more or less alright. Believe it or not, I can edit a .dae in Blender but haven't managed to repack a mod successfully. Something escapes me … folder structure? Or my .zip encoder might be the culprit. Unpack your BMWE34_mat_V30 .zip folder and replace e34.dae inside the "3d" folder: BMWE34_mat_V30 -> vehicles -> BMW_E34 -> 3d Can somebody test it and make a screenshot to see if all works alright for everyone?
You should close everything about the mod and only use the mod manager for repack a mod. If it's already what you do I can't help
Oh. No, was trying to pack the folder structure manually. Ok, I'll try that. So obvious! Thank you for answering Noob questions EDIT: After further testing I found small objects floating outside of the low-beams. I didn't find them right away because they are almost entirely transparent. I have to redo the edit, sorry guys. Will post when corrected. EDIT: fixed now repacked, .zip works fine Matissador, je vais seulement poster le .ZIP ici si toi tu le veux
--- Post updated --- Hi, i wanted to ask if we can get RONDELL 0058 wheels for the E34, they are legendary! (17inch and 18inch)
I don't have that problem. I am on 0.33.3.xxxx Must be something local, a conflicting mod that overwrites this specific tire size maybe?
