Not saying im defending the mod or anything like that but (BUT) did he edit the model in any way for the game?

 

Barely. All it appears he did from the screenshots that lichi sent was making the headlights usable and some basic tweaks

well yea its virtually impossible to make any mod thats not complete trash without separating and categorizing stuff so some work was put into that, but the thing that takes the most time which is model and texturing was already done (this is chassis only, the engine and other stuff are much better)

Even if it had fully scratch made assets, I won't be buying it, especially for a 15$ monthly subscription. I've already given my stance on paid mods in general too many times and I will not repeat it anymore.

 

I'd rather be dead than to buy an IRL paid mod, lol.

There was a "full" version with the LM and stuff like that you could buy on his Patreon for $15 a month with the promise of access to other mods, but it's just utterly ridiculous to charge that much for any mod, let alone one that used others' assets. I honestly think if he'd thrown it on Ko-Fi for $5 max the backlash would either be significantly smaller or non-existent. But alas, we're seeing more sub-par mods that cost nearly as much as the game itself every day. It's a cancer.
