Re: General discussion chat gtx 980m sadly, but the maxwell laptop gpu's are actually quite close to their desktop counterparts in terms of performance unlike previous laptop nvidia gpu's so only a desktop cpu, but still pretty awesome IMO and it comes from origin PRE-OVERCLOCKED so not only is it a full on desktop cpu in a laptop and NOT overheating, but it's NOT overheating WITH an OVERCLOCK (will have to watch video again to find out what it's overclocked to though) also just checked the origin pc website, and they also offer other desktop intel cpu's: so if you don't need to do youtube or anything, you can also just get an i5-4690K as well

Re: General discussion chat Fuck the battery life. It's a fucking laptop, with a fucking 4790K. A 4-7-9-0-K. It's like swapping an 8 litre V8 into a Golf and worrying about fuel economy, you don't!

Re: General discussion chat Thing is, I'd want it to last at least 4 hours. Otherwise I might as well play on my phone or relax with music for the 4 hours I'm away from my desktop. A 4790k in a laptop will not overclock to 4.8Ghz. 4.8 is rather rare for desktop, but it'll drain 100w while it is overclocked, so overclocking is not as useful as usual. If it lasts long enough, it's actually pretty dang amazing they manage it, but if it has 1 hour of battery life at max performance I'll get a laptop with a mobile i5 and something like a 870m GPU and work with that while putting the other $1000 into the desktop.
