She has the new car early!
Jokes aside, the toy is a 1934 Chevrolet, and it looks almost identical to the latest teaser except the rear window.

Im hoping this comes a long with the Burnside remaster. There was a similar style of a remaster and adding a new car related to the one remastered in 0.22, 0.23 and 0.33 I believe

Yes, there have been remasters and similar new vehicles added in the past, but those remasters/new cars often shared parts with each other.

    -Wendover/LeGran remaster: engines, transmissions
-Wigeon/Pigeon remaster: engines, transmissions, front suspensions, large sections of the frames, wheels
-MD-Series/T-Series remaster Pt.3: possibly the engine model (the MD-Series also uses a lot of parts from the D-Series, like the cab and bed).

All three of these pairs also come from the same brands/conglomerates (Bruckell/Soliad, Ibishu, Gavril). We don't know what brand this car's from yet (I guessed Bruckell a while ago, just because they're lacking in vehicles compared to Gavril, and we just received a Gavril truck last update), so it's possible it could be from outside the Gavril ecosystem.

Even with the Gavril Bluebuck and Grand Marshal remaster (0.17/0.17.1), there were parts shared between them (hydraulic suspension for the lowriders). The other vehicles released with remasters (FCV with D-Series Part 2, Bastion with Bolide remaster) were almost completely unrelated to those remasters.

MD-Series uses a modified frame and suspension of T-Series (thinner parts, less heavy duty). The engine is not the same, it's much smaller, but does use the same textures for a lot of parts. They also share most of the wheels. Most of the upfits are also based on T-Series ones, while most of the cab is the same as D-Series as you said. The front end starting from the firewall is unique, and so is part of the interior and taillights.

Right, makes sense. I knew the MD-Series was a D/T mish-mash, but I wasn't aware the frames and suspensions were shared between the T- and MD-Series. Would explain why the MD came out at the (possibly?) end of the T-Series remaster phase, and why a medium-duty truck hasn't been added before.

This is a very good point. Though even if the new prewar car isn't from the Gavril group, it could share some aftermarket hot-roddy parts with the Burnside nonetheless, or perhaps have a Burnside engine swap.

Of course, if this new car is a Bruckell, then it could have engine and/or frame swaps with the Moonhawk, which could be good news for the Moonhawk.

Oh, yeah, I hope this pre-war car will have quite a few engine swaps - the modern Gavril V8's pretty much a given at this point (that engine's in about 8 vehicles now (the modern light Gavrils, the BX, the Hopper, the Rockbasher, and the Scintilla), although it could also receive the Bastion V8s, the classic US V8s, or maybe even the ETK V8 or Wendover V8. (And that's not including all the other possible engine swaps - would love to stick a Scintilla V10 or a Bolide V8 into this thing and have a real ripper.)

While engine, suspension, and frame parts do tend to get shared wherever possible (see: Roamer/D-Series/H-Series, MD-Series/T-Series, Wigeon/Pigeon, K/800), I feel like the Moonhawk's frame is way too old development-wise to be used for the pre-war car without giving the Moonhawk a full remaster. There's still at least two weeks before the update releases, so we could see a Moonhawk remaster teaser, but I'm not holding out hope for that.

off-topic, but when the D-series gets its next refresh/minor remaster, I expect the frame configuration to change to something like the T-series one where the front and rear ends are individually customizable (short bed added as well?) so configurations like a short cab+short bed is possible. The charro and kentarch frames could just remove the choice of rear frame so part conflicts don’t occur

Generally speaking hot rod guys don't seem to care as much about brand loyalty as other car cultures. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the longitudinal V8 end up in this as a swap option

My granddad's perpetual project hot rod since the late 80s is a '46 Ford with an Iroc Z Camaro engine.

i got a feeling we may have just the I4 for the stock verisons. I guess a I6 version should be ok. it will be a a longer verison of the i4,

V8 flat head is possible. but i would say inline 4/ and 6 is likely,

    As well as v8 swaps.

I hope we get a straight 8, but straight 6 would suffice

Can’t wait for the pre-war car. I hope that the Burnside can get an update too using new tech in sure they had to do for this new car.

not sure if this new car will be in the next update. It’s still in the modeling phase so i’m tampering my expectations that will be in the next update (which is around Christmas I think)

What they show doesnt correlate to how far they are in the process of the car. They are just teasers, so they wanna show us as little as possible.
It would also be weird to have 3 teasers (currently all) teasing the same thing and not have that in the next update (or in the patch of the update).
(Im not counting the blinker video as a teaser, as its not #TeaserTuesday or #TeaserThursday)

That would be tricky for many reasons, the normal and heavy duty frames are incompatible model wise, and the desert truck frames are unique. And it would break all D-Series based mods for the 3rd time and everyone would complain

Yeah, completely not worth it just to refactor the D series frame with no real benefits other than a neater vehicle configuration screen
