The single steer I could move over though it'll be a bit to re-do the slot order and make a new length driveshaft for it. The twinsteer AWD I'd intentionally forgone an inter-axle diff in favor of a simple inter-axle shaft as 1. The axles are way to small to realistically fit 2 diffs into 2. For any truck off-roady enough to use AWD having a front inter-axle diff is of minimal benefit at best.
had another idea, though it's probably rather overkill: what about wider hoods (wider grille on the cabover) and something insane, like a huge V12 diesel engine? kinda like the old freightliner power-liners, but not limited to cabovers. i can imagine getting that ALONE to fit would be... interesting, let alone fit AND work with front drive axles
Fillman86 once made a V12 diesel for the T-Series. It still somewhat works and fits perfectly in the longnose fronts, since it's just 2 I6 engines glued together by the crankshaft.
just throwing that idea around, but i think another modder was also doing different engines which would be compatible w/ EFC drivetrains, the fillman mod does work but does tend to get a little clippy... i just thought maybe a few engines getting thrown in would be awesome (like said fillman V12 which was what i thought of) speaking of engines: what happened to the 423 with the enlarged oil pan?
As for the massive V12 Idea no for a few reasons. 1. Making bespoke engine sounds is well beyond my capabilities 2. The size limiter for engines on the T-series is way more the frame rails than the hood/engine cover. widening the frame out would require reworking EVERY frame mount(Suspension, Cab, Tanks, Upfits, etc) 3. This In-Progress mod seems to be adding a bunch of Larger diesel engines including a V12. https://www.beamng.com/threads/gavril-t-series-tractor-engine-gigapack.98439/ As for the 423 V8 I decided to remove it from the mod as the Twin-Six better fills the same gasser role and the V8 never worked well with automatic or arcade mode transmissions. Also it meant I could ditch the odd 2:1 reduction transfer case.
hmm. what about a lower profile front axle for the MD series? (would presumably have the diff over to the driver's side to clear that 10.5L and other engines) it'd ride a little higher than the beam axle, but not CRAZY high, because the 8 lug wheels don't really look proper on that crazy high axle
That WIP mod has been in that state for a long time. I'm not sure it'll go anywhere or if it's abandoned or whatever. Then again, I haven't checked that thread in quite some time.
You know, you could've just taken a look before making such claims/posts. It's only been a week since the latest update.
I really don't & neither do you. Also, that was pretty messed up, that's not something to be used as a joke or insult.
not the insulting word, I meant as a reddit user who never does basic research. Plus since when does this guy ever does a background check before making a statement
doesn't literally the 3rd to last comment on that expansion pack have the owner saying he's trying to make it work bc right before he released, .33 broke everything?
As I said, it's been a long while since I last checked that thread. I stand corrected now (I'm always wrong because I'm autistic and stupid) and am now following it.
Update 0.66 - Added better AWD 2.0 steer axles with proper sized diffs and a slight lift to the truck.(Available for both single and twin steer). Based on the MD-Series axles - Added lifted springs to the Walking Beam Rear suspension* to match the New AWD front axles. - Added Independent steering as an option for twin steer axles(Default for Twinsteer AWD) - Removed Single-Steer transfer-case. Reworked Single-Steer to use the newer Transfer case - Fixed invisible transfer-case - Reworked 2 configs to use the new AWD system - Added a new config(TV93 Heavy Tanker).
nice! have to ask though, is it possible that lifted rear springs for the single and tridem (or a lifted airbag system for all rear susps.) could be added? otherwise though, awesome work on everything
she's hauled a good 120K lbs, well above full load can't do that when she looks like she from South Carolina though, thats why the other twin axles are in for is to compare to my "current" main T-series
