There's also the fact that, IRL, many Stage X Performance Long Blocks also include bigger cams which add the characteristic cam chop at idling. I can easily imagine the classic Muscle Cars of the game already having the cam chop from the Stage 1 Performance Long Block. Even the Bastion Battlehawk Redtail with the Stage 3 Performance Long Block can have it, because this block makes the 6.5 Supercharged V8 twice the beast it already is!
The current performance longblocks already roughly simulate a bigger cam, with a torque curve modifier and an adjusted idleRoughness coefficient. Adding the choppy sound would require more in-depth audio simulation or at least more sound samples, which is a different side of development.
Just going to say it, Starting to think this car is not coming this update. BUT now am thinking what else is there? this tree tool is great for modders. witch is not really me, More missions and career stuff. witch am more into Free home. after a long day i love to drive smash tune cars with no limit ( but career is great ) So Am a little shocked we did not get to see the car in the game yet. What is going on? maybe we only get some basic configs and more in later updates ( i like that. makes content feel newer longer ) And no hot rods till later ( fine with me again ) BUT its in the modelling stage sure. but is it even in game? Will it be done in time. Now the devs are pure gods who do a great job. BUT i feel if its JUST some MD-series configs missions and career ( and this tree tool ) i will feel liek its a little bit under done TBH, now am not trying to be mean. i could not even make a prop, let alone a car. and the devs are awesome . so am REALLY not trying to sound like am not great-full. am just wondering stuff As for is beam-NG feeling dead nah. just as said happens before updates. maybe no new mods seeing its that time of year people start to get busy. And/or devs had no time to let the mods in, I think at this point if there was no dec update we would get a dev tell us that by this point ( not cant be 100% sure )
It would mean the update would be really small. We havent see any remaster directly teased, other than probably more t-series parts. If we dont see more of the prewar car, i do think there is high possibility of it being a january update (even tho one dev did say they plan a christmas update, things can go wrong). Or they are trying not to tease the car too much (as in ingame screenshots) to give us a bigger surprise before christmas.
I doubt the update would get delayed until January - the devs tend to go on break during the holidays, so they'd want to get the update done before then to get bugfixes out of the way. We've never seen any major updates in January - at most, maybe some patches (0.15.1/0.15.2 in 2019, 0.21.3 in 2021, 0.31 hotfixes in 2024), with the biggest being 0.21.3. (That could be considered a minor update, considering it added some content (loads for the D-Series/H-Series).) Also, there's been at least one major update in November/December every year since 2015 (0.5, 0.8, 0.11, 0.15, 0.18, 0.21, 0.24, 0.27, 0.31) - sometimes, two (0.5.1 in 2015, 0.18.3 in 2019, 0.24.1 in 2021). Any other update, I would understand being a bit iffy about seeing (see: the delays for 0.25 and 0.33 reducing the number of updates per year from 4 to 3 in their respective years). But the Steam Winter Sale's been a big money-maker for the devs, and not getting a major update out before then wouldn't garner as much interest (and thus, sales) for them. It doesn't make any sense for them to miss out on that much money. I think it's the third option - they just don't have much else to tease of the '30s car right now, and probably wanted to make a funny video to fill space. Unless the update drops tomorrow (which is possible, as 0.24 dropped on the 2nd, and they have done teaser-then-update drops before (0.30)), they'll probably drop another teaser of the '30s car next week and then release the update either next week or the week following (as the other holiday updates (except for 0.11) all dropped between the 9th and the 21st of December).
This was the case with another vehicle a couple of updates ago, don't remember which one but there were the same worries and the car came out in the next update just fine.
I remember that we only got 2 teasers for the 0.31 update last year, and we've never seen the fully remastered T-Series in game until the update dropped. They could be doing a similar thing and just keeping it a surprise until the update drops. Another thing to mention is that most of the winter updates we've gotten generally have a lot of content, so there could be more than just the 1930s vehicle and potentially more MD-Series content.
Yeah, that is true. I don't know if we're getting more MD-Series content this update - hopefully, that's the case (especially more engines - would love to have, say, the 6.0L diesel V8 or the 6.9L V8 as "base-model" options).
I think the number of teasers doesnt mean anyting. I mean, we only got, i think 2 teaser about the 0.31. but correct me If i wrong
Technically, four teasers were released between 0.30 and 0.31, but we only saw the T-Series in one of those (the third one). First Second Third Fourth
Ah no, we all know the map is literally unplayable but it's not going to receive changes, I was just having some fun sending the car.
