dont get it, it has ip grabbers, it can go into your camera if u have laptop and all sorts of malware, as well as racial slurs in a txt in the external_plugins folder, i have reported him and shown evidence to patreon, i would suggest everyone does the same. i got his latest pack and damn the stuff i found in that folder is crazy, he need to go, his done.
first of all, show proof that you bought it from iretrox's official patroen or gumroad, so that we know you didn't download a free leak off some random russian website that was infected with all that and second of all, show proof that anything you just stated above happened. although i feel like you're gonna try to fake all of these, since its easy to put a .txt file in a folder, or fake a laptop's camera activity. so you're either copying what some guy on Modland is spamming (without actually confirming it, or you downloaded a "free" version which was actually a stolen reupload with shady stuff added in it. in which case get a usb stick, reinstall windows (don't use the reset menu in settings, it barely works) and change all of your passwords.
this external plugins folder from what i hear is full of fake malware, from what i have heard. and yes the files are made to seem like they can access core system components but people have looked in the code and FROM WHAT I HEAR the dfa pack poses to threat to downloaders. for your safety dont get it leaked though.
i got this bullshit too when someone reviewed my mod saying it has spyware like, brother, shut the fuck up
yeah dfa is just a bit overrated as well, for the price its good i js think you could buy better stuff w the cash
The said "IP grabbers" are meant to deter leakers, and do not pose any threat to normal users. DFA is a perfectly safe mod.

Once apon a time the official google drive link from the patreon got leaked onto some sites like reddit, the dev proceeded to update that leaked link with what was essentially malware, And would replace all the images in your mod list with an image with some very uncomfortable text to say the least. While yes, the mod itself is likely safe, I'm not sure it's a good idea to trust a developer that's comfortable sharing malware to get back at leakers, Even if it sucks when it happens. I believe he responded to this on reddit but he has since nuked most of his old posts so long gone now. TL;DR: Mod probably safe, But questionable ethics from dev.
