WIP Beta released 1970 Pontiac GTO (not a 69!) UPDATE-FIXED- 1/4/2025

this will be part of the first update

 

would be nice to have the wing and the option to change the color, also some proper thumbnails
the hood seems to have incorrect reflections, not sure why
also the "judge wing" is from the 1969 judge, not the 1970

 

i also am unsure of the hood, and you can switch to layer 1 under GTO70 in the material editor for regular paint for now, the curren paint will be a skin, and the wing is just there for reference for the time being, the update will replace that along with the default photo and configuration photos and ill hopefully have the hood working

 

I did it in material editor manually for the screenshot , I retract my previous judgment with some proper glow maps and stuff will be nice

 

Are there future plans for other trims like the LeMans?

 

yeah final version will have a LeMans front clip, this gto started as the LeMans and i didnt plan on adding it but youre not the first person to ask so ill definitely throw it in there

yeah ive been trying to work out these glow maps but i need to completely redo my taillights to get them working right and im working on the gauges already, the headlights are finished other than moving the light probes

 

found an engine model to replace the stock model, got the hood working, still working on taillights and gauge lights and need to do some modeling on the engine cause some stuff is missing and headers dont line up

 

One of my favorite real life cars, actually really good model too

Hopefully a vinyl top and hubcaps, too.

still trying to figure out lights but its almost done

 

looks nice, only thing i notice is the texture on the lemans vinyl is a little odd compared to a real one
also, will there be a 71/72 GTO and a 70/72 lemans?

 

Yeah im looking for a better vinyl pattern for sure cause i agree thats ugly as shit lol as for the body styles this is all there will be, im taking a break for a day or so and then ill finish a couple things and post an update

It's really awesome to see someone add a 70' GTO to this game, but I must ask: Will there be a 1970 lemans grille alongside the 71's grille?

 

Will we potentially see a Holey Goat tribute from Pole Barn Garage? Since this one is the correct year for it!

Decective with beacon and catchlight,antenna,cop wheels

 

this will have all the wheels the moonhawk has and as for skins, i cant get them to work im new to all of this lol but the gto body will have stripes but both stripes and body will be colorable, i need to finish some materials to where they stick and dont change on me and ill release it again, if someone wants to skin it after that that would be awesome lol
