I just upgraded my build to a 5700X3D and 7900XTX yesterday and have noticed that my BeamNG performance is quite bad though it feels similar to before with a 3800X and 3070. The performance is the same between Vulcan and DirectX 11 and the game is telling me that the problem is a CPU and GameEngine Bottleneck. The performance also doesn't improve in safemode.

Have you installed the latest AMD chipset driver and maybe reset your BIOS to defaults after the CPU upgrade? Of course also check if RAM is running at full XMP profile speeds and if AMD SAM is active

Yes, I've already done all of those things, they sadly didn't help with the problem though

Hm, then I can't think of anything else. Sounds like you know as much as I! Is this with AI traffic in the game, or without? And how much more FPS do you get on gridmap?

beamng has a lot of performance issues, when people have a high-end pc they experience huge fps loss so beamng isn't fps friendly so far

This is my performance on Gridmap and the performance is without AI Traffic

Does your CPU not boost above 3GHz?

And how do the different graphics presets affect the FPS?

On the normal preset I get around 70 FPS on WCU and the cpu also boost over 3GHz

About 400, I get the same performance on safe mode which doesn't load any of the mods though

that is true, but something is horribly wrong, with those specs he should not be getting 30fps average lmao, i got an r7 5700g+3060 12gb and i can run at 50-60fps on ultra with ai traffic

For comparison, this is my performance on Gridmap V2 with traffic on weaker CPU and GPU at UWQHD. It's running into my 96FPS limit.

Windows 11, power plan 'balanced', slight UV of GPU

I may have just fixed the issue by moving the game from my HDD to a SSD

Yup, it is for sure fixed, the performance on WCU is now about how it should be

yea, this game does not like hdd's, its basically impossible to play it with them, would recommend anyone to always have the game on your C drive
