the only idea that I thought of to cut down on the D-series frame list was to have something like the modular front/rear frame halves from the T-series but that'll break so many D-series mods if implemented
With the pre-war car finally released, I predict the next car to be either a current day pickup or micro car like a 1rst gen Smart
I think we will see some generic sports cars due to Carrer going into motorsports branch. New Pickup or New SUV I think it would come with Police Branch. --- Post updated ---
I really hope the next 2 updates are both waves of remastering, firstly for the muscle cars and secondly for the hirochis
I would prefer a map-tiling system like the truck simulators. It would be the superior system in comparison to single maps. But I have the feeling that this might never happen due to the difficulty/effort of implementing it into the engine or the lack of interest by the devs. Imagine being able to keep driving between American maps, having them all be connected and only having a loading screen when getting on a ferry to European maps. Hell, maybe have the ability to take the plane (as a loading screen) for larger distances but I'm just daydreaming at this point, not speculating, sorry.
If they were too add a new suv I think it would be interesting to have a new brand like Scandinavian, Volvo maybe Saab modern suv similar to a xc90 with the supercharged and turbocharged 4 cylinder or could be a 90s sedan/saloon or wagon mixture of Volvo v90 and Saab 9-5 aero wagon, could be a great competition to etk.
As I've said in this post, the devs tend to establish the focuses for the next year's updates with the holiday releases - and they've done this for the past six years. We got a pre-war car, some updates for the bus mode and drag mode, a rally mode, and drift zones in 0.34, so we'll likely get content related to those aspects in the next few updates. (For instance, we could get a remaster of the Wentward and an MD-Series school bus to go with the bus mode improvements, a remastered Sunburst and/or Miramar for the rally mode, another pre-1975 car, and/or more drift parts/configurations for more vehicles. I don't think we'll get all of those things this year, but all of those could happen.) Agent_Y also made this post about the MD-Series that pretty much says that the devs are done with trucking content for now, so a modern pickup truck isn't that likely for a while: I think a modern city car/micro car could work quite nicely at , however, as we don't really have a modern equivalent to the Piccolina (the Vivace is a bit too large to really fill that spot). Maybe? I don't think we'll be getting an '88 Pessima/SBR4 remaster (as they got new parts in 0.33), but we could get another big round of remasters this year. While the devs tend to be rather gradual with remasters (about two-three remasters per year), 2021 had five remasters - three in the same set of updates (0.24/0.24.1). -2019: Grand Marshal, D/H/Roamer Part 1 -2020: D-Series Part 2, Roamer -2021: LeGran, Pigeon, '96 Pessima, H-Series, Bolide -2022: Covet -2023: K/800, T-Series Part 1 -2024: BX, T-Series Parts 2/3 With the T-Series remaster now out of the way (if you count each part separately, we technically got four remasters from 0.31-0.33), that frees up space for remasters of other cars. A Sunburst remaster is fairly likely, IMO. As is a remaster of the Miramar, as that hasn't gotten much new in ages. And, of course, a Wentward remaster for the bus mode could also happen. I don't know if a Barstow or Moonhawk remaster will happen, but a drag-focused update would give an excuse to remaster them with more drag parts.
Yeah, the GM only got a half-remaster in 0.17, and hasn't gotten much since (besides the new bodykits in 0.34). It's gotta get the complete remaster at some point, hopefully. I doubt it'd be this year, though.
I do agree that the GM should be remastered but unfortunately, some cars are in a much worse state like most of the classic cars and the sbr4 and sunburst
Oh, yeah, I agree that there are cars that need one far more than the GM for various reasons, and the GM's both from Gavril (which had a bunch of attention last year) and post-1975 (which doesn't look to be the main focus for the next couple updates), so I don't think it should be a major priority. But it would be nice to have it up-to-snuff with the more recent remasters/new vehicles.
