I recommend you to learn how to mod and move the unecessary configs to a folder outside the mod. I did that and only have the stock Renault configs from Brazil, and the custom ones (mainly the black wagon and the JATO Sandero). I even changed the default config to be the R.S final edition. Now my game runs smooth as butter with this mod
Quite frankly it would probably be better for other configs to be a separate addon. Have the EU stuff on the main file, and have all the other market versions and fleet/service vehicles be optional for those who want that. It shouldn't be a user's responsibility to cut fat.
Well, it was always the promisse that the mod would have all the configs. at least for me, the only bummer is that the skins are not compatible with all bodies (I wanted to make a R.S. MCV, but I had to edit the skins myself to have that). Is it unnecessary? Sure. But it is EXACTLY what was promissed to us. And well, as I said, it is way too easy to "fix" that for it to be really bothersome.
I have put all .pc files in a seperate search-folder and open this folder in chrome so searching is easier and very fast.
I have a question though, not sure if it's from me or the problem is the same to others. I usually have around 70-90 FPS on BeamNG at 1440p resolution, but the problem is, when I switch on Camera 2 (Interior), the FPS drops at 40-50 FPS.
As i said no separate addons will ever be made for this mod. EVER --- Post updated --- This will get fixed in future updates
Already asked. Shot me down despite the vast improvement to the experience it would provide. --- Post updated --- Dude, searching through 1000+ configs just to find 1 car kinda ruins the experiance. This would make the mod a much better experience than what it is now. Even just separating the cop and taxi configs into a seperate pack, would make this mod so much better. Granted 1000+ configs is impressive, but holy crap they are not fun to navigate through.
I think the reason most people want separate configs is because they are either too lazy or can't be bothered to keep looking for the config they want to spawn. Personally, I was able to look for the configs I wanted to spawn, even if I had to scroll through thousands of configs.
Yea Beta testers and other ppl that actually use the mod often easliy start to remember how the configs work. Configs are sorted low-spec - high-spec model year old-new (based on certain trim level) dacias are always before renaults (based on certain trim level) all configs are named based on their engine/transmission/trim level/model year so it is super easy for ppl to search for the config in the search bar rather than ask for separate pack of configs (that will never get added)
Well when you have only 4 cars per row and 1300+ configs that's about... 325+ Rows to look through... And for somebody who has literally no idea what they want, and/or what cars are available it is VERY annoying to look through them all.
(based on certain trim level) so if this is the lowest-spec model dacia-renault mid-spec dacia-renault and so on --- Post updated --- Okay
You can spawn the default config an use the search bar on the Save/load tab to get the desired config. Its a 2 step process, but it is easier to locate a config you know. Although, after filtering the Brazilian Renault configs. There are some that simply shouldn't exist. The Logan and Sandero got the SCe engines in 2017, so all configs with the 1.0 8v 4 cylinder from 2018+ are simply wrong, and should be eliminated, since they have their equivalents with the 1.0 SCe engine. Also, most of the configs have the front camber absolutely out of whack (2+ degrees positive), and lots of them have the wrong shifters. Considering the Brazil's civilian configs are only 10% of the total, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more unnecessary configs for other markets.
That's my quam as well to be honest, 1330+ configs, you will definitely end up with some that are there to raise that number. I'd rather every config be made with genuine attention not just to say "we have every known trim from every known market of this platform". Imho, it would be better to have the EUDM trims be front and center, with a few sprinkles of other market trims that are actually worth highlighting. If you still want every conceivable market version, honestly just put it in an addon pack. I don't understand the resistance to that.
