don't know why but this happens when I accelerate. BTW I am even using the advanced damage UI but it doesn't record the obvious damage.

Even with the old original D-Series Addon Mod the backlight caused issues, as far as the Durham goes, I'm pretty sure that mod is either outdated or becoming outdated thanks to the addition of the new MD-Series so I wouldn't use that mod anymore. Thankfully if you want chrome trim around the windows, the CEEP mod adds two new Chrome Trim options "Chrome Trim" and "Simple Chrome Trim" which both add the trim around the windows, the one marked "Chrome Trim" adds a Chrom Strip along the body, but the "Simple Chrome Trim" just adds the trim around the windows and wheel arches. So you can still use the D-Series_Addon_Fix with combination of the CEEP Mod and it all works well together.

As far as the floormats go, look closer, because in the first screenshot I shared there is definately a floormat visible.

Oh yeah, now I see the floormat :)

If the backlight problems go back that far, then so be it. The normal backlight works fine anyway (old trucks didn't all have chrome there anyway). And yeah, the Durham is outdated, but still somehow feels better to me than the MD-Series. Maybe it really is a conflict with some recently added mod (also I have like ... almost 350 active mods, so yeah... :p).

Regarding the trim: I also have the CEEP mod installed and like to mix parts of the two to create intermediate generations of the D-Series (e.g. the Early pre-facelift fascia from CEEP kinda looks good on Oldstyle configs, or the Oldstyle hood and fender signals on the Early configs from CEEP, plus the Oldstyle Windshield gives the CEEP configs chrome wipers) but for the really old configs I like the Oldstyle trim more, which can't be used together with the chrome backlight from the CEEP mod (also the Oldstyle tailgate doesn't support the CEEP chrome trim).
So it's a good thing in my opinion that this mod is being kept alive. It's just nice to have the D-Series span 4 or more generations!

The texture in the mod itself has to be fixed, as far as I can remeber the texture for the Baja Fuel Cell has always been broken ever since the D-Series go its big Offroad update years ago.

I found a similar mod you could fix:

    the Gavril H-series addon.
could you please fix this very special mod?

Hi guys, sorry for not posting or talking or doing anything for the last 6 months.
Damn, great job! The new configs are very nice as well, I feel like the original mod had way too many. Do you mind if I add this to the main branch?

Another issue I want to mention here regarding the D-Series Addon by AR162b is a problem with the Oldstyle Backlight. It deforms the roof of the truck. Does anyone else also have this issue? Interestingly, the Gavril Durham mod also has this issue for me with its normal Backlight. So maybe some mod conflict on my side...[/QUOTE]
Yeah, that should be an easy fix. I think they updated it fairly recently (Maybe with the MD-series?) as I don't remember it being an issue when I was working on the last update.

I'll try to get this fixed, but the racing truck bed has really weird .jbeam, so I can't make any promises.

I think this might be a CEEP issue, I had the same thing when I first installed the update, but it disappeared after a few days. It could be a conflict, but if it is, fixing it would be far beyond my current modding experience.

Seems fine on the PBR version made by LeGran, at least on my end.

It's worth a try, but even the last update is positively ancient. Considering the amount of updating that was necessary to fix a mod that was only a year out of date when I first updated it (last official update: Feb 2023, First fix: Jan 2024), I don't want to think what fixes would be required for a mod that released when I was 11 (I am currently in university).

    Issues (as of 13/01/25):

    • Oldstyle backlight causes minor roof spiking.
    • The roamer centre console now works properly, so the d-series version should be updated to match.
    • Racing bed acts weird.
    • All other outstanding issues.
As for future plans, I do feel like the oldstyle parts are different enough from CEEP's early pre-facelift parts to still warrant a remaster (the OS parts are more of a 2nd gen C/K series, however the CEEP parts are more of an early 3rd gen), but these would likely be completely made from scratch on my end, and released separately. The rest of the remastered bits mentioned are still planned, though that's if I ever get around to making them (Modelling isn't the worst but texturing is a real pain).

The next update will only be fixing issues, so it should be out by the end of the month.

    EDIT 1 (14/01):
    upload_2025-1-14_13-50-35.png

Backlights work properly now. I tried to move the chrome trim to make it more obvious, but as it's a different shape to the window seal it just clips into it and looks weird. The window frame model would need a complete remake, so its probably better to just use the vanilla backlights for now.

    EDIT 2 (14/01)
    upload_2025-1-14_18-47-13.png
The Racing bed sides are fixed now. I also fixed the model a bit so the texturing around the taillight is no longer weird and jagged, as you can see. The versions of these flat bed sides for the official d-series off-road frames (Which I didn't even know existed until now) have also been fixed, for some reason the model for the right quarter panels didn't show up.

    EDIT 3 (14/01)
    upload_2025-1-14_23-7-5.png

The racing bed now uses the vanilla short bed trim slot, so the chrome oldstyle trim and vanilla trim is now compatible, although due to compatibility issues, the 'vanilla' trim is a duplicate as I don't want to modify the game files. This may reduce compatibility with other mod's trims, though it depends on how they were .jbeamed. The bed is also compatible with all the vanilla fender flares and presumably other modded ones, however for some reason the right flare needs to be installed for the left one to show up.

The "Another issue I want to mention here regarding the D-Series Addon by AR162b is a problem with the Oldstyle Backlight" part is already fixed in this in terms of the D-Series. The MD issue is a new thing that started once the MD was added into the game.

yeah, I can see the h-series addon is going to be hard. here are all the issues with the h-series addon:
. oldstyle fascia and extended body parts have no texture
. other bodywork has busted paint
    . causes instability upon spawning
    . spawns with wrong wheels

that is literally all I know.

If you decide to add the pbr to the main branch, please make sure all parts have it. Right now, as I commented some time ago, there are a few (Oldstyle) parts like the bumpers, taillights and I think the front fascia where it doesn't seem to work.

Also regarding the Black Oldstyle interior that was discussed here recently: I'm not sure anymore if there really is no issue with it. I think, while the color is supposed to be this dark, it doesn't reflect enough light. It is extremely dark even in full sunlight. So maybe there is an issue with it after all.

I'm quite proficient with the material editor (world editor), and I can occasionally resolve texture issues, although not always.

Any help in that department would be greatly appreciated. I've got no idea what I'm doing when it comes to materials and texturing and stuff. It's a miracle my previous texture fixes even worked honestly.

Yes, I can help! I'll get started right away. What do you need assistance with? I'm pretty skilled with most outdated texture issues, though I may struggle a bit with some 'no texture' problems.

I think the biggest texture issues at the moment are probably the interiors and the chrome oldstyle parts (everything that uses the "oldvan_addparts_sergentfido" material). I think most of the other texture issues are actually UV map issues (like on the flareside taillights and the oldstyle valance) which I should be able to fix.

Sounds like a good idea. It'd probably be worth it for me to set up a github page or something if other people want to work on it as well, though I'm not sure if that would violate the license or copyright or whatever of the original mod.

    Looking for some opinions here...

Do you guys think the chrome pieces look better clean, like on the tail light frame here, or the slightly worn texture they had before. The cleaner chrome I think looks closer to the chrome trim on the vanilla classic cars, but it kinda loses some of the roughness the original had. (I also fixed the UV mapping for the standard and flareside tail light glass)
