oh I hate modland. I reported it and messaged the creator. I will NEVER upload any of my mods to modland.
Yeah, I know a leaker on modland, but I hate him he tried to steal my pics and post them on his kofi I think. but anyway, I do hate modland.
feel free to make a couple and Ill see how they look. But they wont be added for a while, until I have all parts and stuff finished.
Do have a few criticisms with the drivetrain behaviour and certain handling characteristics as a result of it, but quite nice to see the mod working its way through. When attempting to slide and use the handbrake with the clutch in, the front inner wheel spins backwards despite the vehicle moving forward, which causes an unnatural sliding behaviour that resists pivoting the car around a tight corner. (The backwards spinning wheel effect can also be replicated on the rear inner wheel with an open rear diff and race brakes, setting the brake bias all the way to the front and slamming the brakes with the clutch in while the car is in a slide turn.) This can be observed with the wheel debug app and powertrain visualisation app and can be seen spinning in slow motion. Another observation that I have seen with the powertrain app when the car is driving straight forward at any given speed - the Impreza's rear differential RPM reads much higher than the front differential or any of the wheel hubs, which all have the same RPM. Looking at a Sunburst 2.0 Sport S trim, both front and rear differential and all wheel hubs have basically the same RPM in a straight line. Tuning options for both manual race 6-speed transmissions seem to have no effect on gear ratios Race AWD transfer case seems to force power to the front axle only The drivetrain behaviour with the wheels is really my biggest concern and I'm struggling to wrap my head around where the issue comes from. Maybe the transfer case or differentials, but that's only a guess. Trying to mess with the center diff settings on the rally transfer case doesn't seem to affect it. Would certainly be interested to see a possible solution for this.
The transmission issues I know of, it will be fixed next update, and for the handbrake, the center diff is really stiff like IRL so it locks up all 4 tires with decent grip. The spinning is the open front diff. Race AWD transfercase is broken, will fix as well.
You know what's extremely ironic, I've never played on that map, it looks amazing tho, also i'll send you them configs rn. edit: yk ima make more. --- Post updated --- Let us see more pictures, it looks amazing.
