As of writing this exactly 3 out of 20 threads on the first page in this category are marked paid. ps. I think people should put whatever price they want on their art, none of all of your business telling this guy he can't sell his stuff for the price he does. Can't afford/justify? tough luck. Not related to this mod in particular; but I can't see any of the people in here going to a BMW dealership complaining it's too expensive and they can buy a brand new fiat for 15k.

When you can get good engine sounds for literally nothing, there is no point in paying 11$ a month to have those sounds. Even if it is a good mod, it will not find any success outside of people buying it to look for problems with it.
No one outright told him he can't, but they voiced their opinions on what they feel is an exorbitant price for the content. We have a right to debate and criticize it just as much as he has a right to price his work as he wants.
no they are not better, 25 bucks is an absolute robbery for any mod it sounds good, just im not buying sounds for 11 dollars when i can buy at least 3 paid cars for that, especially when the sounds in game are already good imo and there are also lots of good free sound modders. I am not trying to discourage you though because that does sound nice
Sounds good, but you can get that kind of sound for free already. Good luck with your 11$ monthly payment plan! Have fun with the countless amount of people who are stupid enough to pay monthly instead of getting it for free!
I don't think you can legally sell this using the names of real life vehicles. Isn't that using copyrighted content to sell a product?
Figures. It is always interesting how the people who sell their mods for such a high price typically fail to gauge their work accurately and are quite quick to steal the name of copyrighted work(s).
Untrue. Engine sounds are not copyrighted, and using name brands as an accurate descriptor of the source of said sound is also completely legal. If the law worked the way you think it does, car reviews wouldn't exist. I still think $11 per month is nuts, no matter how much the source material cost, but the point is that the mod author has committed no further wrongdoing than a bit of tonedeaf pricing. The source sounds were legally acquired and are properly cited.
Good point. I thought about that too. What was also....interesting is him saying "I paid $5000 dollars to aquire these sounds, do you expect them for free!?" That made this guy lose any credibility he did have here IMO. Bitching about acquisition costs like you expect everyone to feel sorry about how much you spent and buy the mod. Disgusting.
No I mean 2x5 buck cars --- Post updated --- The rb bx mod has better sounds and is free And ngl that redline is super annoying especially considering its a drift car so it’ll be banging off that most of the time I can’t stress enough how this isn’t worth the money, there are free engine mods that sound just as good I would personally consider making it a one time purchase of 10 bucks, it would be worth it then
No worries, I just want to make sure that we're not unfair to the mod author. If we want them to listen to us regarding the price, we should avoid unnecessary attacks. --- I would also like to reiterate that the sounds in this mod are original (to BeamNG) and high quality. Based on what I experienced when I bought v1.1, I would gladly pay $11 for this sound pack. I'm usually pretty skeptical of paid mods, but this one is genuinely impressive and is really worth $11. BUT NOT $11 PER MONTH.
listen here you bloody piece of crap FIRST, you dont swear at people just because they have a different opinion on something. SECOND, there are better ways to spend 10$. THIRD, good for you that you like that, but we don't.
