I feel that BeamNG should be collecting as much talent as possible, hiring B25 was a great move, keep it up. This game has so many skilled community members, adding them to the team would be great too. Just off the top of my head, Hire Nadeox Hire Mythbuster Hire Dummiesman Hire Goosah Bies CarlosAir I can personally testify that these are some of the smartest guys I know. I know there's probably all sorts of reasons it can't be, but if it was possible I think it'd be a tremendous boost. A full team of content creators can do crazy things.
They are all talented but People cost money so I can't see a small company jumping in the deep end and going bust just to lose everything they worked for.
Paying wages, taxes, office equipment, computers new office utility bills and everything else eat away at profits but I am sure as they progress they will hire more and more people.
Despite the fact they're all extremely good at what they do B25 got in somehow, out of all the others. From what I can see his texturework is extremely good and the Sunburst as a collaborative effort has a certain fidelity to it. It's clean looking, and B25 really seems to go to town on all the technical stuff, as we saw on the B25 bomber and now see in the sunburst. He's got a good eye for proportionality and detail... and that normal mapping is extremely well done -- have you payed attention to that dashboard recently? His modelling style appears to be complimentary to Gabester's. Which could honestly be the reason for it. Maybe Goosah, I suspect goosah could develop a similarly clean and natural looking style when it comes to texturing and he certainly has a good eye for proportion and detail. The Corolla he made has a near-gabester 'cleanness' to it that other modders don't seem to feature in their work. Not to put anyone else's nose out of joint, people have different art styles and gabester has a clean, precise... almost sort of 'out of a lab' appearance around his artwork that I've noticed isn't apparent in everyone's modelling. I can recognize something Nadoex has made, he and drowsysam have a very similar style to it all. Mythbuster has a sort of high poly and extremely well done detail approach that wouldn't meld with BeamNG's sorta 'mid poly' assets. Now again, not saying anyone is necesserily 'better', its more that if they all worked on official content there would likely be a very visible mashing of art styles between vehicles as some artists rely more on geometry than others, some use normal mapping to make up for a low poly approach, or more crucically they produce their textures differently via using photographs or actually painting their details in or bits of the two, and 2D art has a shit ton of variances in style that compound on the various different 3D styles. As nice as all their mods are... not entirely sure that together they'd be a dream team. There's a lot of varying art styles in this lot
I would love to see AR126B join to make add-ons for gamesters vehicles, it would add great variety to the game and would make the game so different, especially if ai comes along.
I'm not worthy. I'm just learning, and my mod isn't even textured, so please don't be making such comparisons! But I will take this as a sign that I am doing something right
Your model and jbeam work is excellent Looking forward to seeing the Corolla with finished textures all around. Then I can really judge you
Well there ya' go Goosah...RUN WITH IT. I think AR162 should definitely be a dev in some capacity. I'm no judge of the intricacies of jbeaming but the amount of time and effort not to mention the quantity of modding he has done is substantial and could only be an assest to the dev crew. Anyone who puts together a station wagon like that is gold in my book. This is by no means an insult to any one else.
