This has nothing to do with BeamNG drive but I was wondering if any of you know what is causing this whining sound from my PC, it is only one year old.

Open up the case and stop each fan one by one while it's running(Yes, CPU and GPU fans too), at least that will eliminate your fans.

I'll do that when I'm next on

I'm not sure it's that though as when it boots up it doesn't make the sound

    1. Your fan is defective (once I melted the support that made the fan spinning, it made a much louder sound than that tough).
    2. It could be normal, but that should be the GPU whining. It happens on some games (For example on GTA IV loading screens, where FPS Goes to 2000 and something, GPU will start whining, but that's sort-of normal)

Ok it just sounded really bad

I'm pretty sure its not the fans as it doesn't happen at bootup, only while running insurgent as i haven't noticed it in any other game, including minecraft where i get 500+ fps so I doubt its coil whine.

If it happens when you get very high FPS in some game it's more likely coil whine instead. Try turning on Vsync (or limit the FPS somehow) of the game that make that sound start, and see if it stops after you enable it.

I'm theorizing the case panel may have been loose as it hasn't been happening with the panel off, I will get back you you guys if it happens again, thanks for the help!
