Arcanox Core is one of the best hybrid mode, and it's a mod. Regarding this, it's strange to hear that the hybrid system is impossible.
The reason they use Torque3D is because of the low-level access it provides in comparison to modern engines where something like beam would not be possible. As far as I know they can pretty much do anything with it given enough time and manpower, but it might require too much work to be worth it.
An expansion towards the West of the downtown Belasco City, with the Build-a-Lot barricades after the church and the Fog Hill Fire Station, would be great. Some uber-luxury villas and a street like the characteristic crooked Lombard Street of San Francisco between the villas and the existing buildings in this part of the map would look great!
Currently, the closest we have to Lombard Street is that park near the Chinatown area, which barely counts.
Exactly. That's not even a real road to begin with, rather than a park path that happens to end in an obscure parking lot, buried amongst that area's buildings!
Dirt track as the first teaser and now a drift track ... I can see the Sunburst remaster already ! It only makes sense now why they waited until remastering it !
I'm really hoping they work on the city part, as expansion could be easier as they don't have to worry about grass generation
All of the relatively recent updates for West Coast have focused everywhere but downtown, which looks fine, but could use an update. Also, those train tracks that run from Spearleaf Island and over the bridge lead under the map in the downtown area, unfinished. It would be nice if the tracks could be extended around the map with underground tunnels. What is the point of that tunnel under the big bus station downtown?
The downtown train tracks could definitely be expanded with underground tunnels and a special starting spot could also be made, like the one for the tram tracks on the streets, which start above the Industrial area and finish on the Dockyards. The finishing spot for the downtown train tracks already exists and it's the station at the Spearleaf Island. Also, the tunnel under the big bus station downtown (the Central Station, as it is officially known in the lore - and written on its roof with large letters too) is used for leading pedestrians straight to the Convention Center on one side and straight to the Hospital complex on the other without the need to go around the Central Station. Don't forget that the two-way turning bridge junction is between the Central Station and the Convention Center, so, if you don't take the tunnel, your alternative choice to go from one side to the other is to cross this junction and end up two streets far away. And that, apart from being time consuming, may also pose a threat to pedestrians. So yes, that tunnel, running below that junction, has its purpose! --- Post updated --- I'm really curious about seeing the final form of the construction site at the unused parking lot opposite of the Hospital and next to the Promenade entry/exit point of the downtown tunnels. It got opened sometime between the 0.33 Hotfixes and it got me thinking!
Okay, that makes sense, thanks for explaining it! Yeah, now I remember about that opening, if sort of confused me.
the laguna seca update but where the racetrack doesnt get bulldozed but its the idiots in the neighborhood that always complain when they move next to a racetrack joke aside i belive its more of a LOD thing other than its completly gone
