Hello there. This is a mod I have been making for a while and is pretty close to being released. It's a crash testing mod with both deformable and solid barriers attached to either a stationary barrier or a mobile crash cart. Some of the barriers are mirrored to allow the testing of LHD and RHD vehicles where applicable. Although the barriers take heavy inspiration from their real life counterparts, they should NOT be used for real life comparisons. I plan to release this mod in under a month if nothing goes wrong. I plan to price this mod reasonably but I cannot give a price just yet.
Not a good move being on here since a week ur first Message and then make a paid mod when no one knows you and bro Paid Crash Test Barriers just NO a Car mybe if the People know you but since no one knows u u should not do a Paid mod for something like this. that is a not an acceptable Move imo
Well gotta start from somewhere. This mod will have decent number of different deformable/rigid barriers with different weigths. I know this isn't a whole car mod so I will try to price it accordingly.
Maybe we just use the crash craft and deformable barrier on repo? Or if you can say anything special your mod had or why it worth beaing paid
Some real side barriers for example have strong and weak areas and differing geometries to simulate frontal structures of cars. They also weigh differently to simulate hits from such vehicles. This mod aims to simulate such features so its about having more realistic barriers.
The only reason people is disliking your work is because we have no prior knowledge of your work. We don't know your work or whether it's worth paying for, unless you show us, like Blooperr said; You're also a new forum member which further limits credibility because no one knows who you are. Correct me if im wrong. Also there's nothing wrong with paid mods itself, but they generally tend to have sufficient evidence/quality to sell. I'd reccomend showing us your modding experience and the Jbeam/Deformation, also if you've made the 3d model from scratch or gotten it somewhere.
yeah thing is nobody knows who you are and you havent even proven yourself, thats why most people that make paid mods ( at lkeast reputable ones) have a solid history of releasing free ones
Quality of the mod looks pretty good so far, I'm actually really curious to see where this goes. That being said, you're new here and nobody has seen what you're capable of, so barely anyone will want to buy the mod if it's paid, since they don't know the full quality of what they're paying for. I would argue that you would have a better chance of making money off this if you released this for free on the repository and set up a donation link. That way, if people like what they see, then they have the option to support you and your future mods.
I get paid mods if they're scratch-made very high quality car, but it doesn't make much sense for something as simple as a crash test cart
