Is it possible to make an Efini trim? --- Post updated --- Forget it, I saw that it already has an Efini trim, Sorry
the materials.cs files are in the mod and are working so you dont need a skin.materials.json file. just plop the jbeam inside the vehicles/rx7/skin folder and edit the jbeam to look for your texture and name uhh the file attached to my message? the one attached to my message is currently, the most up to date preview while the one on page 1 is the current public version --- Post updated --- you reminded me, i did steal the license plate holder on the 99 spec front bumper and plopped it on the 92 spec front bumper (efini) and did some changes to it so its more accurate to the real bumpers. also did model the efini and 1992 mazda badges so it isnt just a flat 2d texture. and before you say "oh wheres the bevel?? i dont see one!" there is, i just forgot to make it big enough when i was modeling it and its too hard to fix it anyways. might remodel it if i want to, but its fine. also before asking for stuff, please actually check the mod
I had already done that of copying a jbeam template and modifying it with the name of the image in dds format, but I can't get it to work in the game, very strange.
sneaky peaky: the uhh material improvements and uhh new efini and 1992 mazda badge models as they were previously just flat images
its all i believe and its like a revving sound and theres a lot of it but it goes away once i start driving. could be the rotary engine but the other version of the rx-7 did not have this sound. i can try to record it.
yeah its that sound from the engine. it was not in the others so i just wanted to make sure. thanks though
also for more context, doritos go brap brap brap when it has no exhaust (very minor but you can hear it) and when street/bridgeported, you can hear the braps with exhaust on. this mod isnt the best with doritos as there isnt a sound config option with the name "intake port" that changes idle rpm from 850 to 1600 but the version i have from kiseki has one, i need to look at how it works and i might have to steal the old brap sound from the og mod in order for the streetport as the idle sound on the og mod is im pretty sure streetported --- Post updated --- i know why! you need to get a jbeam, which you did, the materials.cs file inside the skin folder and you need to modify the rx7.jbeam file and itll work also, please read the skins tutorial and jbeam tutorial on the documentation before attempting to add new things. saves me alot of time with explaining that to add a new model to the mod, you need to specify the flexbody in the jbeams so it shows up in game. i also converted old specular maps into roughness maps (rx1_specocc, rx2_specocc and rx7_specocc) so we have a bit more "diversity" with the matt/matt_wb/race_matt material and also makes it so im not wasting really any files in the mod, but i jst got reminded there are more, more unused files that need to be used or deleted
uhh.. all of my mods have crappy textures and almost no one has problems with that --- Post updated --- also neither simulator adventures or anyone said that they were crappy as far as i know he only said that they could've been better
sneaky peaky: idk at this point i need kiseki back also, my reddit account is Historical_Show_4811 for anyone wondering, which is no one on the face of the earth edit: fixed a thing bothering me edit 2: added materials i edited but forgor to add it edit 3: i gotta stop editing this but fixed normal race exhaust
