Twelve years have passed since BeamNG was born. The earliest version we can find and play on the Internet is version 0.1 of the Torque3D engine.

But in earlier BeamNG, developers used the CryEngin3 engine.

Strangely, we didn't find any clues about this version of CryEngin3, which seems to be lost in the long river of history.

I remember hearing a saying before, a user once asked one of the members of the Beam Team, and he said that the earliest version of CryEngin3 was deleted in a clean-up.

Maybe this is a Lost Media exclusive to BeamNG.

Maybe this version of the file is still in the computer of an early developer, maybe in the computer of an early forum user ... Maybe we can search this version. It witnessed the birth of BeamNG.

The developer of BeamNG says he doesn't exist anymore, but I can attach the techdemo map from version 0.3 (yes, the start screen of version 0.3 is a full map). The Gridmap's promotional beacon is broken, but both maps load fine in the latest version with no texture errors.

I'm 99% sure the 0.1 Alpha is a complete hoax, theres alot of evidence and discrepencies. I have some super early versions of beam like 0.3, 0.3.1 etc but to my knowlege there is no pre-0.3 version.

Well~ It seems that version 0.3 is the earliest version of Torque3D engine that we can play with.

Maybe, for example, the test version of Ibishu Guide, that file is also a lost media.

I really miss the start interface of version 0.3.

I always found the old lost pre-steam versions of BeamNG quite interesting, even the later ones. I remember playing all sorts of different versions. I wonder where they ended up... :(

If I remember it all correctly, version 0.3.0.5 was the first publically available version of the game - Back then you couldn't buy the game on Steam ,only through a little website that gave you the installer for the game.
Afaik anything before 0305 is basically lost to time

The map that was shown in the CE 3 techdemo is also "kinda" lost to time, I remember trying to remake that map ages ago, it should live somewhere on the forum, (I might put a link here if I can find it)

Found it ´> From 2015 jeez

    Oh.
    Thanks for correcting me!

Narwhal didn't want anyone reuploading his Ibishu Guide file.
Personally I still think we should respect that guideline

Of course, many files were last modified in 2022, others in 2014. For other files, it's very easy to change the date with some software.

No, my thread is mainly about the lost game version file.
Not the early version that we can play.

Nope. No "early user" has it as it was never released to the public. As for an dev having it, very unlikely.
