I was the same way with my mom's Mercury Mountaineer.
    Full time AWD, 5.0L V8.
    I miss that truck.

Traded it for a 2006 Expedition, which was a hunk of crap, which was traded for a 2008 Expedition, which is a hunk of crap.
Ford's only poorly built car: The Ford Expedition (Still like them though, the new one's with the EcoBoost are hella nice)

Today my history teacher went on a rant about domesticated vs tamed. He pointed out how "tamed animals like bears still tend to turn on their users and stop them into the ground. Much like Microsoft." lol

On the Old Dell right now. It's not too bad, really, if you have an idea on how old it is.

It's about as old as my HP Pavilion a520n, seeing as how it's NetBurst based. I actually have a P4 2.8 sitting around somewhere.

Ew HP. That thing must overheat like no tomorrow. This hasn't when I've been on it since 2. We got it refurb.

EDIT: Looked at system monitor, it's maxing out on one thread. about 75% cpu, 50% ram with 3 tabs open.

My Biology teacher and the whole class turned on me quite violently when I said I wished we still had Agent Orange.
All of these suburban assholes that have never trimmed a blade of grass in their lives, much less cleared brush. That shit works.
They had this idea that Agent Orange was napalm or something.
Then the teacher said she was sensitive to "military jokes" because her brother in law was hurt pretty badly diffusing an IED in Iraq.
Then I told her it wasn't a joke and she called me ignorant.

Agent Orange is a plant killer, that had side effects, am I correct?

Yeah. The army used it back in WWII and Vietnam, then they figured out that it's a carcinogen and had all kinds of other crazy side effects and stopped using it, as well as outlawing it for civilian use.
But it worked. And it worked really well.
I want a big tank of it.

Put it in Starbucks cups and call it a pumpkin spice latte. The yuppies will drink it.

Killed plants with asbestos. That causes cancer. Government knew about it but used it anyway to kill plants. Hundreds of veterans died from the cancer it caused, including my grandad.

    Yep.
My grandfather died of cancer, possibly caused by working around nuclear materials back in the 70s, so you're not the only one.
You can never really pinpoint the exact cause of cancer, though, so who knows.
    I'd still use it though.

It actually uses Cooler Master heat sinks and Delta exhaust fans. This thing was back when HP still knew how to build a decent and reliable computer.

Actually, I say decent, this particular one was the most expensive and highest spec'd one MicroCenter carried at the time of purchase in 2004.

Mine has a button just to the left of the steering wheel. If I need to gain momentum for a steep hill, I turn it off, otherwise, it just kills the throttle and you spend 5 minuets on the hill going 0.5mph. There's a box that mounts right on the frame to the right front of the engine block. It says TCS on it.

They changed TCS quite a bit in 03.
Before 03, it works just with the ABS, and the disable switch is somewhere in/around the glovebox, which is kinda weird, but starting in...oh wait or was it 05.
    Or was it 06.
Hell I can't remember, but somewhere around there they switched it so it worked with the electonric throttle control to cut throttle back, so I guess it wasn't until 05 or 06.
I guess we do have to same kind of TCS then. Or maybe we don't.
But, yeah, some P71's came with TCS others didn't, depends on what the department ordered.

Being in Tennessee I bet it doesn't. Unless that thing was driven from some where with slippery winters... It's defiantly a feature you don't think you want until you need it.

Yep. Spotlight is there and working. Even some strobes that the department left. :)

Meh. I wouldn't be surprised if it does.
It could be from one of the neighboring counties around here that has a slightly higher elevation and gets snow constantly.
Hell, it could be from the other side of the country. I really have no idea what department this car served, nor it's job. Partly why I want to buy one from an auction, so I know all of that stuff. Some of them even provide full maintenance records.

I don't know what my opinion of these forums is any more. Most the people are cool, there are a couple that cause a slight issue. Then crap hits the fan. Constantly, all the damn time.

I think im going to take the weekend off, see if i am able to stay away from this forum for two days. Then decide what to do later since im tired/slightly irritable at the moment.
