Re: General discussion chat it's not, in fact before the press conference they already HAD the best way to do it, HAVE IT AS A CHECKBOX IN A SETTINGS PANEL, that way people who actually did like the old 8/8.1 start screen could go hunt it down and check that checkbox then they REMOVED that checkbox after the conference seriously Microsoft, not having OPTIONS is the entire reason almost everyone hated 8/8.1, you didn't let them CHOOSE what they used, you forced stuff on them, and now your doing it again

Re: General discussion chat It's a Win7 start menu mixed with some apps. You can maximize it too. And then split it like 8.1.
Re: General discussion chat It is that, look: (imported from here) It has the older Windows 7-style start menu with Metro on the side, but notice at the top right of the menu there's a button with four outward-facing arrows? That makes it full screen like you're used to.

Re: General discussion chat Steam does let you choose a custom path for games. And what's wrong with Steam anyway? If you play any other games at all chance is they're all there. "doing all that", you mean starting Steam and letting the game update itself? Because it's actually easier to start up a single program and let it download the update automatically for you than to download a file from the forums and manually copy it into the vehicles folder. If you don't give a shit, why are you posting about it in the first place?
