CURRENTLY THIS MOD IS UNSUPPORTED If you make it work, good for you. Otherwise don't bother asking because I'm not updating it for now, I might do it someday as I'm busy with other projects. Well, here it is, the release version >>>DOWNLOAD<<< Development thread: 1968-Chevy-Nova-UPDATE-0-5b-WORKS-ON-EXPERIMENTAL-NOW Credits stuff: 3D model/textures done by myself except windows by Gabester Jbeams based on Gabester's Moonhawk Installation stuff: - Delete cache files if you have a previous version of this car installed - Extract to /vehicles folder - Works on both experimental and stable versions Nice stuff: - Recycled 10-years old 3D model, wich I never thought it would end up in a real-time game - Nice shiny metallic paint coloring (For semi-matte paint use alpha on 2) - Lots of parts textured, dirt included - Different wheels / engine choices - Sort of "realistic" performance - Nice crash deformations - Very fun to burn rubber in manual gears And the bla bla stuff (changes since 0.5b): - New Torq Thrust M wheels with Michelin low profile tires, all mapped - Jbeams: fixed wheels "wobbling" and steering, added 16 nodes fixed bug on the rear that caused to collapse itself after a while and crash the game - Resampled some textures wich were too low res, fixed AO and normal maps from body and wheels - Fully textured interior (diffuse, AO, normal) - Working speedo and tach (not very accurate but they work) - Functional lights - 5 different setups: Default: 427 V8 engine, 4-spd M21 trans., 4.11 rear, Torq Thrust rims, Michelin tires, stock suspension Good compromise between speed, accel and grip 350 Firestone: 350 V8 engine, 4-spd M20 trans., 3.55 rear, Firestone Wide Ovals, steel wheels w/hubcap, stock suspension Good handling, but the Wide Ovals like to burn if you floor it 350 Torq Thrust: 350 V8 engine, 4-spd M20 trans., 3.55 rear, Torq Thrust rims, Michelin tires, stock suspension Easier setup, mild powered engine and good grip 427 Firestone: 427 V8 engine, 4-spd M21 trans., 4.11 rear, Firestone Wide Ovals, steel wheels w/hubcap, stock suspension Tire smoker setup, most fun using manual gears, the most fun to drive (to me) 427 lowered: Same as default, but with lower and stiffer suspension. Too low ride height, wheels go right through the fenders, but still, cool to take pics and drift. Performance: The 427 V8 has 420hp@6000rpm and the 350 V8 320hp@5500rpm Best time with default setup: 0-60mph 6.4 sec. manual gears Top speed about 140mph with the 427 Things that I might fix someday: - Not the most accurate Nova model, the frame/suspension components are from the Moonhawk - Naming convention, still using moonhawk names here and there on jbeams files - 350 engine could use some texturing - Running rear lights only glow, no texture, same as turn signals - No interior/gauges lights - Materials.cs file is a mess, but it works - Door hinges look weird when crashing - Door windows won't break
Nice car . Anyone else having no texture errors? I cleared cache, but still no luck. BNG version 0.3.7.2 (experimental)
Well this happened and i cleared my cache to see if it would help but it didn't Any suggestions? Thanks
Oh, brah, sorry. I almost done the video, just I have some problems with a render, will fix it today. And you said that you'll use my pics, lel. But doen't matter. Gl with other mods.
As you can see, there's a cache problem. Those wheels are from the old version, so you need to delete all the files before installing the new one. Delete all files here: \Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache\vehicles And delete the old version here before extracting: \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\vehicles Same for the texture loading problem. Let me know if it helps. Don't worry, as soon as you have it I'll post it on top.
Fixed it . It wasn't cache problem but me . I thought mods should be in zip and vehicles folder just like offical cars.
Yeah I'm not really sure about what could be causing those squares at a certain distance. I think it's related to the mipmaps on the dds texture. I'll look into it as soon as I have some time.
