It would run but you would get 8 fps and if you bought a gaming laptop it would be better but still not great, also gaming laptops dont last they overheat and cook themselves
It really depends on which specs the laptop does have. I have a PC with a R5 3600, a RTX 2060, 32 gigs of RAM and a laptop with a R7 7735HS, 32 gigs of RAM and RX 7700S, it runs wayy better on the laptop. About the laptop temperature, since Ryzen 7000 the CPUs can work at the maximum temperature, they are prepared for that and it's completely normal.
that don't matter is it hp or Lenovo, its depends on model and specs, and laptop sucks. cuz if you bought laptop with RTX "4090", laptop 4090 is way more downed performance compared to desktop, so, build custom "desktop" pc
btw if you buy a gaming laptop today it isn't that bad compared to PC, i mean yes you have less performance but there's less difference than years ago. If you buy a laptop try to look for models that doesn't have welded RAM, for example the Asus TUF FA617NT.
no I bought Lenovo legion gaming laptop and it has defective cpu inside and everything is 50% slower then my custom pc. laptop sucks. and my laptop idles at 83 Celsius my pc idles at 34 Celsius even in the temperature, laptop still sucks
Ok that's a massive difference, i have a friend who has a 4070 and we compared the laptop RX 7700S 130W (which it's supposed to be equivalent with a desktop 4070) and it was pretty similar, this could vary because the wattage of laptop GPUs. With the 7700S i got 76-80 FPS in Cyberpunk.
in short, thermal throttling on laptop is very severe. plus desktop pc tend to have better specs eg desktop gpu rather than laptop gpu. plus if you get a gaming laptop the screen will resolution and colour accuracy will match somewhat of a 3 year olds drawing. dont even get started on battery life... if you want a good gaming laptop, its not worth it. i have a custom pc (specs: Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super) it runs beamng like a piece of cake and i get around 70-100 fps on ultra settings.
sorry for bump but if i launch beam.ng drive on my laptop it just transforms into a furnace ( one time when i launched beam.ng drive while my laptop was on my lap the laptop burnt my thigh)
Well I mean for the money your going to dump into a laptop a gaming PC is always going to be a better bang for your buck
The Steam Deck is a good trusted option, and there's an official graphics preset in BeamNG for it. It's also really easy to dock it and use an external display with a keyboard/controller
Depends on the specs, desktop would be cheaper. Whatever you choose to do, I would try to go for 16gb of ram paired with at least a newer cpu such as the ryzen 3 3200g, or an intel i3 10100. Some of these have integrated graphics, which those such as vega 8 will handle 30-40 fps on normal settings depending on map size, and 60+ on low or very low. I'd recommend using a gpu such as a 1650, or super if you can get your hands on one if u plan to use a cheaper cpu. Otherwise, I'd look at newer gen i5s or ryzen 5 with something at least as powerful as a gtx 1660, an rx 5600 xt, or ideally an rtx 3060 or its amd equivalent, the rx 6600 xt or greater. This can handle ultra settings with around 14 traffic cars on all maps. Expect 55 fps on larger maps, but up to 120 fps on smaller maps. You can always downgrade to high settings with little visual loss. In case you dont have a pc that matches these specs, here are some purchasing options. The cheapest build i mentioned (ryzen 3 3200g/u or intel i3 10100 w/ integrated) appears to not be as prevalent on amazon, but there do appear to be many similar computers around the 500 dollar range. Heres a couple: This one has a really good cpu, but seems to lack in the graphics department. You should be able to run alot of traffic cars with it, though Amazon.com: acer Aspire 3 Laptop | 15.6" Full HD Display | AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Processor | AMD Radeon Graphics | 16GB RAM | 512GB SSD | Wi-Fi 6 | Windows 11 Home | DealExpress Accessories : Electronics This one would also be able to handle the game (though somewhat slow as I mentioned before), but is more expensive Amazon.com: HP 2025 New Pavilion 15.6 inch Touch-Screen Laptop, 32GB RAM, 1.5TB SSD (1TB PCIe SSD withHP P500 512GB Portable SSD), Intel Core i3-1215U 6-Cores Processor, Windows 11 Home with Microsoft Office : Electronics I'd recommend desktops since they are cheaper. Heres a handful: This was my first PC. It runs the game around 40 fps on most maps at normal settings, but look around on other stores for these for better prices. Also, definitely look into getting a second stick of ram for this pc, as it is super easy to install. Amazon.com: Dell Vostro 3030 Tower 3000 Series Business Desktop Computer, 12th Gen Intel 4-Core Processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, DisplayPort, HDMI, Keyboard and Mouse, Windows 11 Pro : Electronics Here's some higher end devices if you'd like to be able to run the game to its full potential. I'd HIGHLY recommend these. Desktops: This one's the cheapest, but I'd recommend getting a second stick of ddr4 ram. It's super easy to install. I'll leave a link to both. I may have nerded out on this lol, I didn't mean to write this much. EDIT: If you're on a budget, I'd definitely recommend building your own pc. It's good experience if you have the time, and as long as you stay grounded, it's not that complicated with all the youtube tutorials that are available.
but one more thing is, I used Lenovo 7i gaming laptop with rtx 4070 and i9-14900HX, but I got 13 fps beamng so I researched and help of @Devel6016 and @Musicman27, I finally find out, my laptop has defective cpu, but Lenovo doesn't even care of me, not sending replacements, and now I hate laptop its sucks so im recommend to going Desktop, and special thx for devel, and musicman.
