At the turn of the decade, Ibishu introduced a new, compact sport coupe for the global market. With rounded, aerodynamic styling and a choice of a 1.6 or 2.0 inline-4 engine, it offered a fresh take on the small sports car for the modern era. Sold as the XI160 and XI200 in North America, the 100XI in Continental Europe and the UK, the Pessima XI in Japan (as an extension of the Pessima nameplate, slotted between the Covet and the larger mid-size Pessima), and simply the XI in Australia and New Zealand.

The model wasn't successful in North America, dropped from the Ibishu lineup after the 1993 model year, but remained on sale globally through 1996.

    Gavril EC-1 "Electric coupe"
Lore: in 1996, A subcompact car, the EC-1 marked the introduction of mass produced and purpose-built battery electric vehicles. In its initial stages of production, most of them were leased to consumers in California, Canada, and Georgia. Instead of crushing them, Gavril let the people keep these vehicles and many still exist.
trims: Base "Steel wheels and cloth seats", Sport "3 spoke chrome wheels, body colored trim" Roadsport "Spoiler, dual motor and leather seats" and a Police version for Belasco.
Colors: Dark green, Bright red, Silver, pearl white, shadow blue and jet black.

I think the new "Track Attack" version of sunburst should be just named "Hillclimb", it's clearly made for that - it has a lot of aero (although, could be more), a lot of power and short gear ratios. The top speed is like 230km/h, it flat outs on a racetrack very often. That said, a real "Track Monster"(or named similar) should be added, just with longer gear ratios.

it's a mod right now but I think it really deserves to be in base game to keep getting updated et tweaked by the game devs. Plus most of the world is already done as it's like 80% identical to the sedan. :)

My latest batch of ideas is related to concept cars, and features a mix of strictly lore-friendly takes on iconic concept cars, but in the BeamNG universe...they actually went into production.

(Inspired by the 2007 Dodge Demon concept that didn't go into production)

In the 00s, compact sports cars and compacts were highly popular on a global scale. Bruckell saw that and wanted in. But, instead of simply creating a generic hatchback with a potent engine and some tacky body kit, Bruckell decided to jump into the compact roadster market, while also looking to shed the perception of them being an 'old man's' car brand, by injecting some

Debuting at the 2007 Belasco Auto Show, the Specter features a 2.4 liter I4 engine with 175hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, hooked to either a six-speed manual transmission or a newly developed six-speed dual-clutch transmission, co-developed with Hirochi, and driving the rear wheels.

Quick, nimble, and efficient, the Specter caught on quick, with the first release, the dark purple 2,000 unit Phantom Edition selling out in less than an hour, when Bruckell put reservations up for grabs on their website.

The car would only receive minimal visual changes over the years, focusing mainly on mechanical upgrades and interior modernization over it's production run, until it was redesigned for 2016, with styling more consistent with the new Bastion, though sales would dip as more customers moved up to the Bastion, resulting in the second generation only lasting three years, discontinued after the 2018 model year.

(Inspired by the 2003 Lincoln Navicross concept)

Come the early 00s, SUVs had become exceptionally popular with American buyers, but not all buyers were ready yet to give up their spacious luxury sedans yet. In 2003, Burnside unveiled a concept for a midsize 'Luxury Utility Sedan' in Detroit, called the Magellan. The car had styling that was both sleek and modern, while also a nod back to the Burnsides of the 50s, including suicide doors and a b-pillar-less profile.

While those two features didn't make the production version that debuted in 2005, a lot of the concept's design language remained, giving it a unique look, compared to some of Burnside's other offerings at the time, as well as it's drivetrain remaining intact from the concept. Powering the Magellan was a 4.2 liter supercharged V8, which was based on the 4.5s in the larger sedan offerings from Gavril and Burnside, putting out approximately 15% more power than the 4.5 it was based on, hooked to a 5-speed automatic, full-time four wheel drive, and an advanced active traction control system.

Sales would start strong, but would quickly taper off, with strong sales for the 2005 and 2006 model years, before slowly descending in 2007 and 2008, before a steep drop-off for the 2009 model year, with retail sales being concluded before the end of that year, and an abbreviated 2010 fleet-only run.

(Inspired by the 2003 Subaru B9 Scrambler)

Not one to shy away from a challenge, having seen Hirochi's success with their compact sport roadster, Ibishu wanted to one-up the competition by injecting some new technology into their car. Hence, the Taka was born. The name was taken from the Japanese word for hawk.

The original concept was first shown in 2003 in Tokyo, featuring a 2 liter Flat-4 hybrid and an advanced full-time four wheel drive system. That system would make it's way to the production version released in 2005, but the gas engine would switch to a 1.6 liter turbocharged Flat-4. Unfortunately, with the system, the car would be cost-prohibitive for the average customer, with a starting price of around $35k.

Ibishu would introduce a front-wheel drive model for the 2006 model year, with a starting price of around $27k, but by then, sales weren't going well in most markets, with only sales success in Japan, the UK, and in California. By 2007, Ibishu would announce that the Taka would be dropped from the company's Australian, German, Italian and Canadian markets, with US sales being limited to California, where sales would end up only continuing for another year, being dropped in 2008, leaving the car only available in Japan, the UK, and France, where sales had started to increase after the introduction of the front-wheel-drive version in 2006.

A minor facelift would arrive in 2008 for the remaining markets, before being dropped altogether after the 2009 model year.

(Inspired by the 2006 Ford Reflex and Mazda Kabura concepts)

Efficiency and reduced emissions were a heavy focus in the mid-00s for automakers, and a joint venture between Gavril and Ibishu created what was meant to be a future-driven generation of clean energy sports compacts. The Impulse was first shown in Belasco in 2006, while the Kaze was first shown by Ibishu in Tokyo that same year. Both were hybrids, with the Impulse being powered by a turbodiesel-hybrid, and the Kaze (Japanese for wind) being powered by a rotary-hybrid.

The reception for the Impulse wasn't strong in the US market when it was shown, but when the concept was taken to Europe, Japan, and Australia in 2007, the reception was much more positive. The Kaze, on the other hand, had positive reaction in Japan, then scored positive reception in the US and Australia in 2007, but lackluster reception in Europe.

This ended up helping the two automakers decide on where they would sell the production versions. The Impulse would be offered in Europe, Japan, and Australia, while the Kaze would be offered in the US, Canada, Japan, and Australia.

The Impulse would hit the market in 2008, powered by a 1.3 liter turbodiesel hybrid, .7 liters smaller than the original non-turbo concept, while the Kaze would be powered by a 1.3 liter rotary-hybrid. The Impulse would be all-wheel-drive, while the Kaze would be rear-wheel-drive only.

Overall, the Kaze would end up being the more successful model of the two, with the Impulse being dropped after the 2014 model year, while the Kaze would last until the 2016 model year, and selling more than double that of the Impulse, and receiving a heavy facelift in 2012, bringing the car into line with newer brand design language.

At one point, Gavril was considering selling a Burnside branded version of the Impulse in the US, with the Kaze's rotary-hybrid drivetrain and the Impulse's all-wheel-drive system, which would have been sold as the Burnside Provoke, but those in charge of the brand were opposed to both the name, as well as using a Japanese rotary engine in an American luxury coupe.

I was wondering if someone could make a 1970 Mack RS700L from convoy as a T-series addon with the tanker it had in the movie?

And here's batch two, a follow-up to yesterday's batch of ideas for concept cars that became reality in the BeamNG universe. Only two more at this time, but a pair of interesting what-ifs.

(Inspired by the 2007 Mitsubishi Concept-ZT)

Come the late 00s, Hirochi was looking to further expand it's foothold in the midsize market, where their products had been sliding down in sales in recent years. Their plan was to build a new model with a new name, and a design language that would influence future products from the company. But, Hirochi wasn't content with just improving their footing in the midsize market, they wanted to focus on going upmarket.

It started with their 2007 CY Concept, powered by a 2-liter turbodiesel with all-wheel-drive and a dual clutch transmission, unveiled in Tokyo, then shown around the world.

While the European and Australian/New Zealand markets showed interest in the turbodiesel, the Japanese and North American markets weren't as welcoming. So, when the production model was revealed in late 2009, the powertrain lineup was varied.

The car would bear the name Cyprin, from Cyprinidae, the family of fish of which the Japanese Koi is part of. In the North American and Japanese markets, Hirochi would combine advanced tech with the familiarity of the popular Sunburst, with a line of flat-4 and flat-6 hybrid engines. The European and AU/NZ markets would get a selection of turbodiesel I4 and V6 engines.

The car would find itself a success in all markets, helping further boost the brand's market share, and being partly responsible for Hirochi being able to develop the SBR4 lineup that would arrive a few years later.

In 2012, Hirochi would release a limited-production high-end version of the Cyprin, the Koi Edition. This version would have an exclusive burnt orange paint called Koi Orange Pearl, and featured white leather sport seats with orange stitching. The car was limited to 500 units for each market (NA, JP, EU, and AU/NZ), and sold out fast.

The Cyprin would receive a facelift in 2013, but sales would start to dip in the European and AU/NZ markets, resulting in the car being dropped after the 2013 model year, while the car would continue to sell well in the North American and Japanese markets, continuing production until 2016.

(Inspired by the 2005 Chrysler Akino concept)

In 2005, Soliad showcased a Japanese-designed small concept, simply called the S, for small. A small hatchback that featured a 1.5 liter engine. The car was well received in Japan, but wasn't as well received outside of the country, when it was shown in Germany and Detroit.

The S featured two doors on the left side, one on the right, and a B-Pillarless structure with a rear suicide door on the left side, with a minimalistic, eco-friendly interior. While the interior, suicide door, and B-Pillarless structure didn't make it to production, the 3-door + hatchback setup did, when it went into production in 2007 as the Hasu, Japanese for Lotus.

The car also had a change in engine, reduced in size to a 1.2 liter turbo I3, and available as a hybrid, using Cherrier technology.

A small production run of 500 units with the doors reversed (two on the right, one on the left) were built in 2007 as fleet-only models for the rental car market in Hawaii, bearing the name Aloha, where the concept's 1.5 liter I4 was retained.

The car would be a relative success in Japan, remaining in production until 2015, with a facelift in 2010. It would be Soliad's last car ever built in Japan.
