Sedan arc line of rear fender is disastrous in wagon version.
D-pillar looks dull, too. I know the beam team has made great efforts, but I really don't like this design.

It's 5MT instead of 6MT on street vehicles, to make matters worse I often get "synchronizer damage" when shifting, even with Clutch assistant, Throttle assistant AND Gearbox safety assistant all switched on

I was testing at the same 40mph as the real test, and I used a Corolla as an example but even older cars like the first gen Cruze or Kia Forte did similarly to the Corolla in that test

i can promise you, they wont be.. so far every post about the proportions has been completely ignored, and with that i'm 99% sure this is the way the sunburst will stay, permanently. which is beyond disappointing as like you, me, and many many other people have pointed out, it looks downright horrendous. i'm aware alot of the models are now outsourced, which isn't a problem, but it is quite literally like the wagon rear end was modelled separately by someone who has never even seen the sunburst itself and it was just retrofitted onto the back end

Even disregarding the looks of the wagon variant, i feel like it was given too much importance compared to the sedan version: why is the main thumbnail the wagon variant, and why are the NGRC2 configs the wagon variant too? I feel like using the sedan for both makes more sense

I will say, using a 5-speed manual for all of the models is a little odd

The fact that there's no automatic and only a cvt is annoying.

the Sunburst wagon reminds me much more of the 1st and 2nd gen Foresters with the more upright tailgate compared to the more sloped tailgates of actual Impreza wagons

I would also like to see the gauges being lit up by default in all ignition positions except for off like the old Sunburst. This should be a thing on all modern cars with analogue gauges (ETK 800, ETK K, etc.).

I don't get why it's a big deal that the wagon isn't attractive to everybody. controversial cars exist in real life and you can't just get an automaker to change them like it's nothing.

people were also begging for a wagon sunburst for a while, and now that we finally have one, people want the hatchback instead. weird cars exist in real life and we're fine with them :p

the only real fixes that need to be done in my opinion are the sedan cargo box issue, a stronger a pillar and weaker crumple zone, and the indicator issue, as those are actually (I'd say) necessary. (as well as some of the other small bugs mentioned, such as a stronger c pillar in sedan and wagon form in the scenario of a rear end collision)

Tbh I would have preferred more of a hatch body style but I really don't mind the proper wagon

I definitely agree, the wagon looks weird but a lot of these kinda wagons do too. The impreza wagon looks a bit better, but it still looks kinda weird, and it's from 2001 so i think the glass could be bigger because it didn't have to be as strong maybe?
