The vehicle will be coming with yellow plates all around, as that's what's used here. I will hopefully be able to add some cargo boxes inside that replace the seats. I am not sure how to do it, but it shouldn't be too hard. I should be able to just copy it from the normal citybus and edit it
Like, JorgePinto's yellow EU plates, for the UK vehicles. Sorry, forgot to mention that. Maybe a rocket bus similar to the vanilla bus is coming too?
I was going to add something like these MO plates, but I am not really sure how to do licence plates either Perhaps at the end, theres still quite a lot left to do
BeamNG Update #3 Hey everyone! I have got some great news. Production of this mod has resumed, as I have built a new PC, so things should be much faster to make. I have already made quite a few changes, such as now there's a custom interior screen, with a somewhat redesigned HTML, that has emissive properties, so it works in the night too The dashboard is basically completed. All I need to do is add a map onto the side, and in the middle, add a digital speedometer. All the buttons have their emission textures, and the gauges glow red when the headlights are on. Also, there are now working switches for the lights and gear selector. The door buttons also work, and glow red when they're open. Because BeamNG forums dont let me embed mp4 videos, you'll have to download it, or watch it in the discord thread in the BeamNG server Next thing to do is to add the center screen that shows the speed, gear, odometer etc. That may be a bit hard, considering I dont understand how BeamNGs HTML works, and no one else does either Thank you all for your patience!
The video is a demonstration for the light switches, gear selector, handbrake, and door opens buttons. If the BeamNG website allowed video embeds from uploads, you'd be able to see it, but you have to download it to see it
The JBeam isnt complete yet, and only the body was equipped. I haven't done the interior yet, so probably because of weight It will be RHD at the start, but LHD probably will come. When I modelled it, I forgot about BeamNG maps being LHD If I can get the UVs working, probably most from real life companies. Definitely a livery close to TfNSW though, as that's what the bus has IRL. Maybe some fictional ones for Belasco City too. I am open to suggestions though
BeamNG Update #4 Things are starting to come together, and the drivers area is nearly complete! The dashboard now has working warning lights And the navigation on the side is working too The only thing I don't like about the navigation is the icons, and I need to change them, but the CSS or HTML has no icons. So the only things left to do now for the drivers area is the middle dashboard screen, and then that'll be done, until the end when I add a few accessories such as an IBIS etc
Mind if you could pls upload screenshots of the bus exterior and interior (if you'd like), I just wanna see if you made any progress on those.
Won't be long until I will upload. The interior (seats wise etc) has nothing done yet, but the drivers area is basically done and fully animated. As for the outside, I managed to somewhat fix the UVs, so the panels are all a steady colour compared to having brighter and darker shades due to the normal and opacity maps being out of position --- Post updated --- Hey there. The outside is as shown below You can see how I fixed the issue's with the UV's, as now the exterior panels look clean. They also work well with other colours chosen in the vehicle selector menu Regarding the inside, well, nothing has been done for the passengers yet But the drivers area is 99% completed and animated, all with working buttons and knobs, lights, needles, and even computers
do not cancel this, keep on making it, also, it's okay to take breaks even if you want to work on it later it's still important to work on this
The 1% is really small things, like the IBIS, the ticketer machine, etc. All small accessories that don't actually do anything, but theyre there for looks and realism I will try! Next step is to get the outside working, such as the destination sign, which doesnt show currently I suppose they could. They are already pretty high quality though, and you probably wont notice the lower quality from the drivers cam
As of right now, it is unknown. There is still quite a bit of work to be done, and I am also working on other mods, such as engine mods and the Wentward Transmission Pack. When it is in its fully polished, 100% playable state, yes it will be. Beta testing won't be in the repo, that'll be only for certain people who will agree, and I don't know when that'll happen, after 90% of things are completed, and only the small things are left
