(PROJECT LINK) I need help urgently and i am willing to throw $5-$10 if someone could download this and correct it as i have been messing around with it for ages and cannot figure it out! The Two Issues is that: 1: i have the exact materials i need, ported from the stuntman video game, located in the levels files included in the download below, and I cannot get them anywhere close to similar on BeamNG's Material Editor, In Terrain Painter Tools, on World Edit. It Also Seems I am missing certain decals but they are also included in the Levels Files, If anyone could Please take a look at those (Images a few below) (Dirt Tire Tracks on Dirt Ramps + Corner Cracks in concrete area) 2: I also keep having a issue where Materials Won't Mesh up/form together: ( smooth transitions between them when painting ) Everything i have gathered from research says its the way the overlay materials are put together (I am doing it wrong) - People Also Have Told Me To Use Decals For Hiding The Checkerboard Issue I Am Having - However, this wont work in my case because the splotches are huge and the decals on this level are positioned specifically.. There is also a super old version i will include that, the original creator of this "ported" map released it in 2014 and i created my own Terrain Block, his terrain painted materials were closer but looks bad today lol & its hard to get working halfway right - Also Since I have My Own Now I don't Want To Overwrite All The Terrain Shaping As I used it for mission prefabs, etc. DOWNLOADS: Very Early & SUPER CUT Features (Just For Troubleshooting) - StuntArenaWIP.zip 2014 Version (Broken But Almost Has Perfect Terrain Paint) - StuntArenaOLD.zip
Here is one issue. those old material.cs have been depreciated. Main.materials.json now. There is a convertor from Car_Killer. PBR grass...

I would have to reinstall that OBS since Nvidia does not live stream the desktop like it used to do. I had it installed but my chat window was changing yellow from some driver glitch or something.
I love that you gave me all these assets but i dont really know how to use them or how to remove the stuff i dont need I really only need two textures, rather its PBR or not, but could you help me adjust that without shaping me current terrain? is that possible because i dont want to go through the hassle of re-placing a ton of objects from my prefabs, where the ground moved. I could just little by little move the assets off the level until i get what i need, but i really have no idea what im doing with all of the assets you sent, i have a lot to learn with terrain yet it seems
The grass and concrete that you screenshoted a few comments up and if you wanted to add a little brownish dirt/grass to add variety to the grass
I can try to make the non PBR version of them if PBR is a problem. I dont know though. I will see what I can do,
PBR is fine if you can just add that and no extra assets, im trying to keep the level very clean, its still a huge WIP right now, youll haft to see the entire level, in your eyes its probably error after error but in my eyes its functioning right now but i want it perfect lol, im trying to 1-1 copy this arena from the stuntman game, really all im missing is updating everything thats old from the level like terrain for example is what we are working on now. If PBR is way better than why not you know, but i just need like 3 simple textures to make it look super similar to the stuntman game... if you download the PCSX2 Emulator i can share everything you need to preview the level im trying to port over!

PBR is for being able to paint without it being all blocky right? Like how is the terrain scale extended so much that it removes that? also how can i turn this brighter green grass into a more dirt/dead grass but it blends & with my concrete, what textures should i use --- Post updated --- @Artistterrymartin Man i am nothing without you!!!! xD but i did get the concrete exactly how i wanted it --- Post updated --- Wish there was a way to convert the terrain block shape and make the terrain paint act like the level you sent me with PBR but dont know about that one.. i guess if i haft to recreate some mission prefabs/etc, all well, as long as i can get this grass super close, i have the lighter grass i want but cant blend any dirt with it

Have a proper watch of the videos Terry Martin posted above. Search for other videos on terrain in Beamng. At the moment, you're using it wrong. Both the previous and PBR types are able to blend different terrain types without it being 'too' blocky. You have a base terrain, which is your whole map. That shows at distance (e.g. more than 50, 100, 200 metres, etc. the distance will depend on your preference). Then you have a middle terrain type that will show at the middle distance, then a much smaller one that shows close up. The trick to good looking terrain is to play with the distances these show and fade, the overlap between all three, and the blending of them. It's a bit of an art form to be honest, and it's often better to copy and existing levels settings rather than make your own.
That makes sense and i think i was starting to understand that but how do you get a base image of the entire map.. you dont just take a screenshot of it from above. Doed it haft to do with exporting the terrain block? Im so at loss with this, i have even tried going through the levels to find a couple similar textures i need. But how do i add those PBR without altering my terrain, or non pbr which is what im using rn dont matter its not a super detailed level
