Now I'm curious if someone has tracked the data of time between update releases and the first teaser to get an average
Sometime the first teaser come a month after, then nothing until the second teaser drops another month after.
Where are tire thermals? It’s been two and a half years since the devs delayed it! No word has been said since. I would like to request an update. I’m curious if it’s still in the works. Last time they talked about it they said they were still doing research. And that was December 2022.
Ive been wondering this aswell for a pretty long time now It feel like the devs just abandoned things like this to instead work on content like vehicle remasters...
If you look in the tire JBeams, there is a section for thermals that are commented out. Seems like it was/is close to being deployed. I was surprised to see them. I was copying grip data to an Automation export.
imo theres still a couple other vehicles that need it but i think the devs should take a break from that and start working on some of the fundamental features that are still missing or need work Tire thermals like the other guy said has been in the works for literal years now and they have been completely silent about it and its the same story with a few other features too that the devs have talked about but seemingly abandoned Alongside that tires in general are kinda a mess right now with certain tires straight up just being "meta" because of the stats in the files which the game also does not tell you AT ALL what the difference between tires are other than looking in the files which actually really sucks when trying to do racing because you end up having everyone using the exact same wheel/tire combo because its the only choice to be fair... Which having tire rules isnt really a bad thing for competitive racing but my problem with it comes from the fact that those same "meta" tires come in exactly 1 size which limits your wheel selection a TON Ideally id be able to just select a tire compound set it to any size i need and then select a wheel style and also size that to whatever i need Infact someone made that exact kinda thing as a mod as a tech demo so surely if some guy that just mods the game can do it the devs can too Here is that mod in question which is now broken in the newest version but still at the time it was basically exactly what i just talked about https://www.beamng.com/threads/live-wheel-menu-mod.103286/#post-1834345
Yeah I mean they have other stuff I’d rather them to be working on then cars and maps, like better shadow system, vulkan, dlss, dynamic dirt, but the honestly they haven’t confirmed any of those, other than tire thermals. Tire thermals were set for an early demo in late 2022, and went radio silent for years. But tdev was mentioned tire thermals at an expo, but he didn’t give us anything
You know what I really want to be remastered? Bruckell Moonhawk, or the Ibishu Miramar. Seriously, there was no remaster on these cars.
I want to remind everyone that working on maps, remasters/new vehicles, and game mechanics are all entirely different groups and developing disciplines. Because we’re seeing work put into x and y doesn’t mean z isn’t getting attention.
And thats fine we already knew that But currently since the devs have been completely radio silent for years now regarding things like this it really seems like its been forgotten Even if the response was a whole nothingburger of no progress even just saying we havent forgotten about it and were still working on it would be enough
anyone that would want to see a newer car? we havent had any normal new cars since the bastion, im thinking we need a modern d series soon
